So ND has beat all of the best teams on the schedule so far. Honestly if this team had been healthy all season they would be looking at one loss at the most. Bummer.

Wow Brent. "The Trojans are relevant again!" He is a jack asss

Um, why? He said the same thing about ND last year and everyone said he was great to say it.

Because it makes absolutely no sense. 2 years ago, USC won 10 games and finished the year in the top 10. Last year, they were pre-season #1. This year... they're 8-3 and maybe going to be barely ranked and they're "relevant again".....? What? I mean, the fuq does that actually mean? When has anyone ever said anything about USC being irrelevant?

When he said it about ND, we just beat a heavy favorite top 10 Oklahoma team in their house by 18 points and solidified ourselves in the championship race as an undefeated team. This was after years of being well outside championship/BCS contention and many, many articles about Notre Dame being irrelevant. So... it actually made sense then.

Think Sherm was pointing out the irony. He said USC is relevant again, all while broadcasting them at home for ESPN's nationally televised Game of the Week.

I get all that, but still, the point remains that USC was and hopefully is going to remain in a downward spiral for a while. Does not make him a total jack ***.

Full of hot air, and trying to puff up that Orgeron has done in a short time, yes. And it could have been as simple as seeing USC actually beat Stanford. I do not know. But I do not think there is really any reason to get all up in arms over it.

How many nationally televised games a year does ND get? 9, in a down year?

Plenty of irony to go around indeed, although beating STAN won't mean as much, now, IF we beat them.

Stanford inside the USC 20 with 2mins left. I think they come back to win it. But they look like they might be gassed from their win over Oregon last Thursday. I think they get it together though.

I only saw some of the game, but I don't think it was as much Stanford being gassed tonight as Oregon getting manhandled by Stanford last week. Oregon does not play well against physical teams, it's well documented: Stanford now in back to back years, Auburn in the title game, OSU a few years ago, etc. The PAC is mostly a finesse league, which is why Oregon does so well, but as soon as they face teams that punch them in the mouth, they show their weakness.

In Brent's defense, I don't think he meant that that they are now "relevant to college football", but rather that they are now a relevant player for the Pac12 championship game. They were talking about it all through the fourth.

I think some of you are just scarred from all of the "Is ND relevant" talk pre BK. haha

Not specific to games, but does anyone else chuckle thinking about the possibility of Minnesota and Duke winning 10 or more games this year?

I don't think chuckle is the right word. I'm actually impressed. I admire that Duke uses the same standards as ND when it comes to their academics. For Minnesota to do so well without coach Kill on the field is impressive. I also sympathize with Jerry Kill as I too have epilepsy.

Good to see the horseshoe is still fully lodged up Michigan's ass again. SMH.

First play of the game for Iowa, they throw a duck to Jake Ryan who walks in for 6.

IrishLax, if this is a close one and it comes down to a Michigan field goal, and you again go absent during the 'miss it you rapist' segment, you'll have to ban me for all sorts of obscenities sent your way.

You really let us down last week.

I'm in Wisconsin so BTN has Michigan on for me. Not sure if they're on anywhere else.

It's a boring game FYI. 14-7 Michigan.

Well Purdue-Illinois is action packed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach what do you think of your clock mismanagement at the start of that last drive?

Ask me another question.

Despite a -4 turnover margin, Iowa has come back to tie Michigan at 21.
