It’s that time of year. Anybody else think the dark gold uni’s look bad? I like the lighter gold and pants from the early 90’s. Anybody else think we need to move on from the Kelly era uniforms? We need to get our uniform game on point for these spoiled tik tok kids these days.

I like the current unis. Darker gold helmets, more 70's styled pants with a hint of mustard. Love them, just my opinion.

I will say too, I have loved what ND did with the shamrocks,... even the odd ones I didn't really care for bc it's a one-off. It's a great way to give the younger generation their 'Oregon" unis while not touching the classic base unis.

Wouldn't mind going a little lighter on the pants. Something similar to what the 49ers have.

I guess I’m in the minority which is wild to me but they way the helmets look like shiny yellow mustard now is pretty brutal imo compared to what they looked like when they first re-did them.I think it has to do with the lights and TV cameras but it just does not look good to me.

Eh, neither look bad at all,... but I do prefer the current ones if I'm honest.

This is a great example of why I love how ND has handled the SS unis,.... It's the absolute best of both worlds, you give the younger demo the funky jerseys they seem to love while making it clear it's only for the SS games and the base will not be impacted. It's the best way to have cake and eat it too on the uni debate.

I hate to burst your uniform purist bubble, but ND isn’t really the “reliable traditional” uniform team. Helmets, sure. But uniform? Not even close as compared with Penn State or Alabama. …or even SC/Michigan…

Notre Dame wears gold helmets. Dark blue/navy jerseys. Gold pants. The shades of blue and gold change periodically.

ND's "look" has more or less been the same for decades, other than the Shamrock Series games or the green jersey games. The only people who notice changes to ND's uniform are big fans.

It's Navy/Gold, White/Gold, or Green/Gold. The green they've had since 2017 is trash,

My hot take is that the SS uniforms that copied elements of Green Bay's unis should be the full-time uniform. Those were a little spiced up from the traditional, but still simple enough and clean.
