So you cheered for Mayweather over Pacquiao?

You pull out the all time worst case scenario... well played!

If I cared about boxing in the least bit, THAT would have been the ultimate test. Mayweather is an absolute asshat.

This was not a politically charged question. I say wtf I mean, and I mean wtf I say.

So American is your pull?

Or Mexico? I get they are Americans now holy shit.

Haha sorry man I'm so used to people posing baited questions. American.

I don't care where they come from. It's the only country on Earth where you can just come and become a member of society, and I think that's important. Obviously I favor doing it legally, but I think more importantly is the desire to assimilate, join, and become American. Renouncing any previous loyalties and becoming a freedom loving communist hater.

Huh, no it's not.

Carry on.

I love America and I don't care what anyone on this site thinks about it. "Loyalty to country, always. Loyalty to the government when it deserves it." I think we could use some nationalism at this point in time.

I understand that. Nothing wrong with it I just feel guilty doing so. As a result, I cheer for Americans.

It's not a British isle but it is part of the British Isles.

I understand the geographic term, but we will agree to disagree on this matter.

Nobody is saying Ireland is British... besides those in the North who love GB.

The British Isles is not a political term, it's a geographic region.

Brazilians are not American, but they live in the Americas.

By saying it isn't a political term, you are completely missing it..

Let's just leave it alone

Connor with the 2nd rd TKO.

I too can't stand the Diaz bro's. I don't them personally so maybe they are great guys with a bad guy persona for the sport but to me they act like guys that need an ass whooping. I love everytime one of them gets the shit kicked out of em.

+10

USA! USA! USA!

I think McGregor respects Diaz for taking the fight and for his attempts at trash talking. They are very alike in many ways but Conor is superior

He'll be superior until he loses again.

Would love to see some of this:

I love USA, but McGregor got off his game. I'd love to see that again.

I just hope this makes Conor realize he has an advantage in reach and power at lower weights. That's why he was so good. He can dominate at 145 but I don't think he's going to be champ at 155. I really like him but this should be his wake-up call to go no higher than 155. With that said I don't think he should cut to 145 anymore. He did not look well when he did.

Should not have tried to sweep Diaz who is the superior ground guy, but Conor is pretty much pure balls so I was not surprised. He was really laying into Diaz for a while, but when an already cocky fighter gets even cockier? It can be really dangerous.

He handled the reach disadvantage relatively well, but it ended up getting the better of him for sure.

Great card. I enjoyed all the fights.
Mcgregor looked gas in the 2nd I wouldn't say no to that match up with both getting a full camp.
Watch Rousey rush back for UFC 200 now.

Interesting factoid.

Diaz has been a strict vegan since the age of 18.

Ido Portol, McGregor's famous trainer, said before the fight that he won't train vegans because they are too weak and lack energy. Welp... Didn't stop a vegan from beating the shit out of his prize pupil. Ha.

"Vegans Are Too Weak and Are Too Low Energy To Train With Me," says Ido Portal | Home of The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas Graham, Low-Fat Vegan Raw Food Health, Fitness, and Sports Performance

He loves his greens

A few possibilities:

-He recently was cageside for a fight in which his teammate knocked a man out who died hours later. That will change your outlook.

-Wants more $$$ from the UFC

-Injured and cant do the fight, but doesn't want to pull out because of all the shit he has talked about other guys pulling out.

yeah its a big thing here in Ireland recently, sport is unregulated here and the dude who died was hit 9 times in a row in the head after getting knocked down. Lots of folks blaming the ref for not stepping in sooner.

i watched a clip of the end of that fight. Dude got rocked twice and was def. stumbling. went down to his hands and knees and was covering his head when taking those 9 strikes.

Could the ref have stepped in sooner yes (only because he was clearly stunned before the ground work) but i think in most UFC fights if a guy is somewhat in an attempt to protect themselves the ref is going to let some punches go before he determines its over in that position.

Hard to call as a ref as he still was conscious and appearing to try and protect himself (although limited).

From Conor's FB page:

I am just trying to do my job and fight here.
I am paid to fight. I am not yet paid to promote.
I have become lost in the game of promotion and forgot about the art of fighting.
There comes a time when you need to stop handing out flyers and get back to the damn shop.
50 world tours, 200 press conferences, 1 million interviews, 2 million photo shoots, and at the end of it all I'm left looking down the barrel of a lens, staring defeat in the face, thinking of nothing but my incorrect fight preparation. And the many distractions that led to this.
Nothing else was going through my mind.
It is time to go back and live the life that got me this life.
Sitting in a car on the way to some dump in Conneticut or somewhere, to speak to Tim and Suzie on the nobody gives a fuck morning show did not get me this life.
Talking to some lady that deep down doesn't give a fuck about what I'm doing, but just wants some sound bites so she can maybe get her little tight ass a nice raise, and I'm cool with that too, I've been giving you all raises. But I need to focus on me now.
I'm coming for my revenge here.
I flew an entire team to Portugal and to Iceland to make my adjustments in preparation and fix my errors I made with the weight and the cardio prep.
With the right adjustments and the right focus, I will finish what I started in that last fight.
I will not do this if I am back on the road handing out flyers again.
I will always play the game and play it better than anybody, but just for this one, where I am coming off a loss, I asked for some leeway where I can just train and focus. I did not shut down all media requests. I simply wanted a slight adjustment.
But it was denied.
There had been 10 million dollars allocated for the promotion of this event is what they told me.
So as a gesture of good will, I went and not only saved that 10 million dollars in promotion money, I then went and tripled it for them.
And all with one tweet.
Keep that 10 mill to promote the other bums that need it. My shows are good.
I must isolate myself now.
I am facing a taller, longer and heavier man. I need to prepare correctly this time.
I can not dance for you this time.
It is time for the other monkeys to dance. I've danced us all the way here.
Nate's little mush head looks good up on that stage these days. Stuff him in front of the camera for it.
He came in with no shit to do that last one. I'd already done press conferences, interviews and shot the ads before RDA pulled out.
Maybe I'll hit Cabo this time and skull some shots pre-fight with no obligation.
I'm doing what I need for me now.
It is time to be selfish with my training again. It is the only way.
I feel the $400million I have generated for the company in my last three events, all inside 8 months, is enough to get me this slight leeway.
I am still ready to go for UFC 200.
I will offer, like I already did, to fly to New York for the big press conference that was scheduled, and then I will go back into training. With no distractions.
If this is not enough or they feel I have not deserved to sit this promotion run out this one time, well then I don't know what to say.
For the record also -
For USADA and for the UFC and my contract stipulations -
I AM NOT RETIRED.
