In the NFL's study a few years ago, it found that ACL trauma occurs 88% more often on FieldTurf than on grass.
That's the main reason I don't want a change.
Not being a smart@ss, Eric, but I think he's simply basing that off your post where you alluded to the turf being field turf, and not the hybrid.

2011.. "its coming". Believe it when I see it. Nothing but a bunch of message board rumors.[/QUOTE]
Not sure where you've been at but its been more than just message board rumors at this point.
Its coming. Get used to the idea.

That's not necessarily true. I've sold a artificial turf business before and the name fieldturf has largely been genericized to describe all artificial turf.
It may very well be actual FieldTurf, but I wouldn't assume so.
I just heard it from the horse's mouth a few minutes ago. You weren't there, were you?
Edit: and I'm not talking about turf
...wut? I can haz Jumbotron?

I'll only be upset if they change endzone design.
Also this at midfield wouldn't be bad:

This whole image is bad a$$
I'm for field turf, but against the midfield logo.
Other than that, bring on the changes!
Why not just turn Touchdown Jesus into a video screen? He looks normal all week, but can become a transparent video screen on gameday.
Kind of like those wall mounts that look like fireplaces but can show slideshows. Except with Jesus.
Why have we become pussified about playing on grass? So it gets torn up. Who said it has to be perfect? That's where your home-field advantage comes into play. I won't cry if we go to some type of artificial turf, but if we're going that route, let's one up Boise St. and make it blue and gold turf.
As far as leg injuries being greater on artificial turf, that's true. I'm not sure, but I think the percentage has decreased with the refinement of turf over the last 8-10 years.
