Anyway Trump beat the second most unpopular candidate in history without achieving the majority of the votes and by using the laughably false premise that he can reverse the course of manufacturing's decline. What part of that am I supposed to respect?
I don't think there is anything even controversial about suggesting that the Republican Party has an inherent interest in not supporting proper science education. You'll have that when the party's platform--and nominated head of the EPA--do not believe in Climate Change. Again, they're the only major political party in the developed world to be so totally insane on that basic issue. And when people receive educations, they're likely to laugh at the GOP the same why I started to after I listened to some science classes.
The GOP is losing the college educated at a pretty fast rate. As they become a party completely of the "white working class," the gap will only widen and they will, I assume, continue to attempt to dismantle the Department of Education and back inferior education policies.
