I've decided to swear off the political threads for the most part. I'll still occasionally participate in factual, informative, civil discussion, but no more of the bitter, spinning, insulting, angry BS conversations. Too much of this sort of garbage from both sides. There are better things to do with my time. This past week I had a lot more fun ignoring the political threads and instead:

1. Bought a new guitar
2. Watched a good football game
3. Had sex

Trust me, all three of those things are better than spending hours every day fighting over politics.

I’m pretty sure Merkel said in 2018 she would not seek another term and her term ends in 2021. I may be wrong.

The Dutch cabinet and PM are resigning because they are embroiled in a scandal regarding over taxing 20000 families many of which were dual citizenship and specifically targeted by their right wing government. They will reform a government soon I believe.

The move was seen as largely symbolic; Rutte's government will remain in office in a caretaker mode until a new coalition is formed after a March 17 election in the Netherlands.

I’m not up to speed on Italy right now but political instability in Italy is hardly anything new haha

Ha! I bought an Eastman SB56/v. It has an aged varnish finish instead of the glossier nitrocellulose. It's a brand new guitar, but lightly reliced, so the varnish finish has some dings and scuffs, and it looks like Jimmy Page toured with it for a few years. It sounds and feels like heaven and is one of the 3 best guitars I've ever played.

Although my ultra conservative friends keep feeding me martial law stuff and telling me to food prep and all that. I hate it so much being a conservative Christian when Pastors tell their members something big is coming (they never say what) and they need to prepare (but never say exactly what I need.... food? Regardless of one’s politics (& I’m not comparing their Presidencies...just speaking strictly to character & morals), I don’t think that can be debated if we are looking at modern First Families. Whether it was his birth dad who was committing bigamy, his mom Virginia Kelley, his deadbeat step-dad, his cokehead racist half-brother Roger or his own sexual assault/rape issues...they take the cake. That they hailed from Arkansas makes it even more of a caricature.

In a way, the media looking the other way on all of Clinton’s misdeeds & “poor choices” during his campaign & subsequent Presidencies opened the door for trash like Trump. All bets were off when Slick won in 1992. I still think back to how pissed Gary Hart had to be that he got eliminated from the 1988 election for chasing a little tail and then four years later it was “anything goes”. I liked Gary Hart’s chances a lot more than Michael Dukakis. Timing is everything. Trump just lowered the standard even more. Who’s next?

Missed your post! But my main issue with Kenney is his pandering to fringe right groups especially Rebel Media. As well, the UCP and their attitudes towards the health care sector. Attacking them in the middle of a pandemic seems a bit of head scratcher. His inability to rid the party of whackjobs that dilute the party, kind of like not getting rid of the QAnon people in the GOP. In essence, I see him using similar tactics to those that are popular in the GOP fringes and trying to make those mainstream in Alberta hence my point about how it's likely going to happen here. I'm still weary about Erin O'Toole and the CPC but I'm encouraged by him clearly stating the Proud Boys are an extremists group.

Anyways, sorry for missing that post you made, don't want it to seem like I was dodging it (kinda of like those that made constant posts about Antifa in the summer won't make any comments about the insurrection....hmmm)
