He just tried to tweet from his @POTUS account and Twitter cut that off too.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Statement from President Trump: As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me...</p>— Team Trump (Text TRUMP to 88022) (@TeamTrump) <a href="https://twitter.com/TeamTrump/status/1347731542777409538?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 9, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Still available from his campaign page.

Trump just tried testing through his campaign Twitter. That also got shut down. He is putting more effort into bypassing his Twitter ban than he has offering condolences to the dead cop.

It's going to have to die and be replaced by something else before we return to some semblance of political stability again. I have no idea how long that'll take, but it's likely to be a painful transition.

I know some people who are more than willing to help it along this whole death thing.

There is only one reason why one carries flex cuffs, and private citizens are generally not legally allowed to detain another citizen via something like a shackle, handcuff, etc. Especially absent something like the threat of death, rape, or serious bodily harm.

These fuckers need to be found and eliminated from this lifetime.

Working in public accounting, I too am sad for a generation that came before mine. I had to call a client and explain to them how to use Dropbox. It's a simple program that is used all around the world. I assumed a CFO of a $50M rev generating company would understand, yet here we are.

Drastically different.

Not really. One generation's norm is another's "what the hell do I do with that?"

An interview with Alyssa Farah, the former WH Communication Director, sheds some light on the post-election decisions and why she decided to resign in December. She worked on the Hill and under Vice President Mike Pence, chief of staff Mark Meadows as well as Representative Jim Jordan.

Excerpts from: ‘I Stepped Down Because I Saw Where This Was Heading’ (Politico)

She says:
And one thing I would just note: The results of the election almost perfectly aligned with our internal polling. So this notion that everyone’s kind of surprised and it turned out so different than we were expecting—I mean, from what I was read into, we always knew Pennsylvania was going to be a huge uphill battle, as was Arizona. North Carolina would be a squeaker. We’d win Florida.

Georgia was the one that we just did not adequately have a read on, on how close that would be. But none of this should have come as a surprise to anyone who was following the data.

When it was clear Biden had won, she
"prepared to deliver a message that I was proud of, which is: It looks like we lost, but Republicans were able to turn out record Hispanic support, record African American support. And we helped get a record number of women elected to the House of Representatives. But I was advised by the campaign to stand down. That wouldn’t be the message.

I made the decision to step down in December because I saw where this was heading, and I wasn’t comfortable being a part of sharing this message to the public that the election results might go a different way. I didn’t see that to be where the facts lay.

Fossett: Do you think that anyone had that power, that ability to influence, or to tell Trump that the election fraud talk was going too far?

Farah: I know there were a number of people who conveyed that early on. But I do think that it took on a life of its own. And early on, I truly believe the president knew—when I was still in the White House in late November, he knew that he had lost. And it was something that was almost like tacitly acknowledged, like we’re going to make this painful, but we know what happened. And then, something turned. And I don't know if it was the wrong advisers getting to him with bad information or what.

She tried to get in touch with Trump to have him tell the mob to stop, but I don't have the same faith that they would have listened to Trump.

But what is dangerous is when you have heightened rhetoric that is so divisive and that makes people feel that it’s us versus them at all times rather than we’re one America; we’re a unified nation. And what was scary Wednesday is that it felt like our democracy was at a very shaky point for a country. It’s just so intrinsic to who we are to be able to fervently but civilly disagree.

So, Trump and the WH knew they had lost and it aligned with their polling and that any lawsuits "were an uphill battle". The very sad and very tragic part is that those willing to go into "combat" for Trump were played by the narratives of Stop the Steal and Massive Voter Fraud.

Arizona Republican Party asking if followers are willing to die for Trump, openly beefing with GOP governor

Twitter and Facebook are only coming to their senses because the Democrats can pass laws starting in about two weeks. There's going to be a lot of "how do we Trump-proof our Democracy?" conversations and social media entities are scared they'll be in the cross hairs of regulation.

You won’t see any changes with Biden in office. The only stirring of the pot he will be doing is his Cream of Wheat not with Twitter.

It’s hilarious that people would actually “go to war” for this man.

Shit is going to get interesting.

So I am seeing very compelling compilation of MAGA forum posts, Trump emails and interactions on TheDonald redit showing a very much coordinated effort to get many MAGATS to the Capital. I also saw a video where a man says he coordinated with Three House Reps to maximize the takeover during the joint session.

It actually explains a lot like why they had zip tie cuffs. How they knew where to find Clyburns typical work area (it’s not his office, it’s a difficult to locate space. The rioters showed up there. ) They also had tunnel maps.

There was also talk of securing and hanging traitorous Dems and any Rs that supported the Steal.
I can try to post those images but it would take a while. You can find it on Twitter if you so choose. There were people there with a mission(s). It was coordinated and I believe Trump and his inner circle started it and knew and pushed it. It is thought Rudy was calling Senators to drag out the process so that the event had time to happen.

I also believe Twitter saw real time evidence for a second event On the 17th and they have done what they can to prevent it.

I’m putting my anti conspiracy hat on for this but there is a lot of compelling evidence regardless.

Just insane. When some Police remove barricades and wave these nazis in. Gotta think that there are some higher ups involved in this revolt. I don't think it will be too long until it's traced to some higher ups. I guess we will know when trump flees the country.

When will his self pardon be announced?
The lone Trump flag that flew proudly in my neighborhood was taken down. Good to see some people can still change their minds minds on a jacked up belief system.

My reps say otherwise.
Others just aren't as vocal as me and I used to be in that boat. I'm just not anymore, since the start of this pandemic and the misinformation that has been detrimental to human lives not just Americans and the way a lot of Radical Republicans on here. / proud boy/neo-nazi views/

But don't worry. I consider you part of the radical right that I have a problem with. So you are showing your loyalty to who you are. Your brainwashed in tribalism and most like always will be.
I was mostly conservative but these last 4 years I've changed my mind and with recent happenings of idiots on your side, who you and others on here continue to support because you feel wronged about race riots from the summer.

This was an attack on American Democracy and the radical Republicans (at best) and white nationalist/hate breeders at worst on this site fail to acknowledge this. You and others on here aren't looking at this through a Patriotic lens of the severity off this.

The Irish Envy Maga crew gets no sympathy from me. If anyone still supports trump after what has transpired will always be trash to me and that will never change.

So you, Northy, Rhode, Irish#1,(YJ to a lesser degree) bishop can attack my mental health. Keep up trash put downs about my family and wife, the ageism, the Xenophobic comments.
It doesn't phase me. It fuels me to out you guys for what you all are.
Radicals at best/ Neo Nazis nationalists at worst.
As far from a true Patriot as can be.
Consider me a mod of intolerance to what you guys stand for.
And as long as you all continue to post this way. I will be here.
Anyone behind trump at this point... once again, has no ground to stand on.

For the first time, you've put together some thoughts that I can unpack.

1. There is no one at IE who is aligned with Neo Nazis or proud boys. None.

2. There's a TON of strong, vocal posters on this board. You're the only one unhinged enough to scream "f you and f this and f that" to anyone you disagree with.

3. I don't give a damn what your opinion is of me. The "radical" right showed itself this week when they broke into the capitol waving Confederate flags. I wasn't there and I was disgusted by it.

4. The radical left spent the summer burning down American cities, shooting cops, pulling people out of their cars and you applauded it, so spare me the overdramatic "fall of America" this week.

5. If you were conservative 4 years ago and an angry, Trump hating lefty today, that's a you problem. If you no longer believe in freedom of speech, capitalism, etc. like most conservatives, that's because of you and not Donald Trump.

6. Not sure how calling those who disagree with you and have done nothing to you at all as "trash" helps unify and heal our country. Pretty distasteful.

7. I do hope you continue to post on here. Continue showing us all how full of hate you are, how much you despise anyone who disagrees with you, and how childish you sound when talking about conservatives/ republicans. Rest assured it shows everyone way more about you than it does about us. No sympathy requested, no sympathy given.

Carry on, Keith Olbermann. Cheers.

Yeah, it makes him a martyr. But “they” (Big Tech) are in a pickle because this shitstorm is in no small part their doing.

In more lighthearted news, I’m not sure why I find this so funny but I do: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hello I am brand new to Twitter, what are you guys up to</p>— John Barron (@barronjohn1946) <a href="https://twitter.com/barronjohn1946/status/1347694753786200064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 9, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

That’s hilarious.

I thought I saw something unfamiliar - amplified laser lights - directed at the Capital Police. Not the small pinpoint kind but a device in front of that would expand it to several inches in diameter. Also typically used is bear spray and that may have been used as the tear gas from the police seemed to come from the opposite direction. The policeman that died, Brian Sicknick, was a veteran with service in d the Air National Guard and was deployed to Saudi Arabia in 1999, according to a statement from the New Jersey chapter of the National Guard. In 2003, he was sent to Kyrgyzstan. He joined the Capitol Police in 2008 and died from injuires suffered from being bashed with a fire extinguisher. So many of the terrorists had backpacks. We'll probably find out what the other three deaths were. It was organized.

Hilarious seeing all these free market zealots who oppose regulation crying in their beers over the tech sector of the market kicking them in the balls.

If the president has something to say, hold a press conference.

I am reading that it was not ordered by higher ups, but at the ground level to accomplish what they did. People wearing MAGA gear "breaking" in to the Capitol Bldg.

The ACLU is also sounding the alarm. Not because they care about Trump or anyone conservative, but they now see a rich white dude being the most powerful person on the planet and they fear that the censorship of black and brown people will be next by Zuckerberg. In their statement, they said Trump can run to Fox News for a platform. The minorities will just be silenced.

It's.....like.....they want to intervene in private businesses? Kinda flies in the face of the let the market decide. Right up there with the "I don't want to give poor people anything" and "Our government should take care of it's own before other countries!". Ask them what they have in mind for how to help their poorest, you'll get a nice pretzel at the end of it.

Worth comparison is Watergate, which was a burglary over files taken from a psychiatrist's office. We'll have to wait for an investigation to see if there was any connection to the WH to the terrorists.

Right, so the market needs to be regulated and corporations and individuals should never be allowed to accumulate these obscene amounts of power. I’ve been saying that for years.

How do you do that? Tax the living shit out of them on the federal level so it doesn’t become a game of musical chairs among the states.
