I need to watch more miniseries.
Just started it last night, I'm hooked. I need to watch more miniseries. I like the idea of having a beginning, middle, end all in just 8 episodes.
Band of Brothers
The Pacific
John Adams
The Corner
FX? If it's not HBO/AMC/Showtime/Netflix, I have initial doubts. I hope it's good though.
The Americans, Justified, and Sons of Anarchy are all highly rated. I'll definitely give it a chance.
Along with American Horror Story
Justified is cartoony in it's execution. It just doesn't hold me like some of the other great shows.
For the record, my favorite shows: The Wire, Breaking Bad, True Detective (so far but far too early to tell), Game of Thrones (read the first 3 books and I'm still pleased with how the show is produced). Dexter was intriguing for the first 4-5 seasons and then I fell out of it.
I'm actually watching that right now on Netflix and forgot it was on FX. Awesome show.
This goes along with the paradigm of True Detective (guessing, I haven't seen TD), in that it's a different story and cast for each season (although most of the season 1 cast appears in season 2).
From everyone I talked to, season 1 of AHS seemed to be the most popular, but I liked season 2 much more. Which season are you on?
Season 1, Episode 10.
Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn for Season 2.
Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn for Season 2.
Awesome!! Colin Farrell should be amazing in this type of show. Vaughn might take a second or two to get used to. Wish MM would have came back or Brad Pitt would have taken a role though. Either way, I'm happy with the main cast.
