Just started it last night, I'm hooked. I need to watch more miniseries. I like the idea of having a beginning, middle, end all in just 8 episodes.

Best show on TV. Though I have to say my early prediction to my wife that Rust is the Yellow King seems to be off.

The French did that a lot with the classics(Monte-Cristo, Napoleon, etc...) in the late 90's, early 2000's. 4 episodes/films of about 1h30 each. I personally don't like when a show drags on forever.

Anyways, true detective is awesome. It doesn't help sleep problems though, hehe. Love the acting too.

Band of Brothers
The Pacific
John Adams
The Corner

If you haven't seen Band of Brothers, watch it. Based on real soldiers and facts. Outstanding!

Watched episode 1 of TD last night. Great dialogue between WH & MM.

Justified is cartoony in it's execution. It just doesn't hold me like some of the other great shows.

For the record, my favorite shows: The Wire, Breaking Bad, True Detective (so far but far too early to tell), Game of Thrones (read the first 3 books and I'm still pleased with how the show is produced). Dexter was intriguing for the first 4-5 seasons and then I fell out of it.

I like the new guy.

Just watched the second episode last night. As soon as that scene started, my wife say, "I see why this is a really good show". Now I know why you guys really like it. Great acting! lol

I'm actually watching that right now on Netflix and forgot it was on FX. Awesome show.

This goes along with the paradigm of True Detective (guessing, I haven't seen TD), in that it's a different story and cast for each season (although most of the season 1 cast appears in season 2).

From everyone I talked to, season 1 of AHS seemed to be the most popular, but I liked season 2 much more. Which season are you on?

Season 1, Episode 10.

Pretty pumped for the finale tonight. Just about as excited for this finale as I was for the Breaking Bad finale.

I got caught up for the finale tonight. My wife likes it as well.

I'm pretty sure when they had auditions for the ladies, the first thing the producer asked them to do was show him their ass. Very nice buttocks.

MM was outstanding in the last episode. The hospital scene with Woody sipping a drink out of that big mug was priceless, especially when they gave each other the finger. The only thing over the top was MM being held up in the air by the knife in his gut was a little hard to believe.

Good ending, with Woody helping MM to the car.

It was such a great show. After finishing the season, I looked up the writer/creator and listened to some interviews. He mentioned specific scenes and where the inspiration came from, plus some of his favorite reads.

The result was I read: H.P Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulu", almost finished with Dashielle Hammet's "Red Harvest" and plan on reading the "The Yellow King" as soon as it's available in the library. (Lots of holds on this book).

Great debut for writer, can't wait to see what the next season produces. I hope he can continue.

Really loved the show. Great acting and writing. Initially i didnt care for both guy surviving the finally. But it has came around on me, MM character was such a pessimist that it's poetic that he would survive.

Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn for Season 2.

Awesome!! Colin Farrell should be amazing in this type of show. Vaughn might take a second or two to get used to. Wish MM would have came back or Brad Pitt would have taken a role though. Either way, I'm happy with the main cast.

Really excited to see if this creator/director can reproduce the quality he had in the first season. I think CF and VV both have great potential on screen, can't wait to see where this is set and what the back story is. One of the most memorable shows I've watched in the past decade.
