nope. Johnson benched Lee a couple of times this season, by all accounts the kid isn't very mature.

always loved the idea of "big" schools like GT running the triple option. Strange to me why more lower tier schools like New Mexico State, Idaho etc dont adopt it if not to make them a pain the ass for their opponents.

Part of me would love to see us return to a Triple Option (harumph fullbacks) and man handle the opposing teams. It's simple, it's easy to execute while being tough to defend...can't argue that it doesn't put points on the board. Navy always does okay, and if ol' Boob Davie could get a defense on the field, he'd have New Mexico competitive again.

Triple Option isn't great in a bowl setting necessarily since teams have 3-4 weeks to prepare for it, but given the fact that few teams actually run it these days, and it is so tough to prepare for, it's murder for teams in the regular season. Just imagine the knees of our opposition...they'd look like ours after Air Force/Navy back to back.

Don't think LaRue actually ever visited ND. Think he had crap grades. Was definitely recruited for a while.

Kid was all over the place in his recruitment...committed to USC on the spot, then wanted to play WR instead of DB so USC backed off. Then he 'de-committed' lol frm the school that didnt want him. Then he started getting the attention he craved and was telling reporters conflicting stories all the time.

One of those kids, if you followed his recruitment, you knew would never end up at ND. Despite all the empty words about ND and academics, ND was always a fall back for him, which was funny bc he was never qualified for ND. Not surprised he got lost in the shuffle at A&M with their 19 receiver commits. He knew what he was getting into but went with the flashy school anyway. And he's just not that great of a receiver anyway.
