October 3rd in Chapel Hill, don't spare the rod. Hang 70 on Syracuse in their place, too. They'll enjoy the extra ticket sales and TV eyeballs.
I'll 100% be at that game.October 3rd in Chapel Hill, don't spare the rod. Hang 70 on Syracuse in their place, too. They'll enjoy the extra ticket sales and TV eyeballs.
Recusals in this context are the dumbest fucking thing. It’s not like people are unaware of how their rankings of other teams affect the teams they’re theoretically recused from discussing.Mmmm....I dunno. On one hand, it's nice to promote Leahy and the university. On the other hand, I'm not crazy about giving money to a guy that could have potentially cost us multi-millions and a legit chance at another trophy. Maybe show me your dance card and how you voted for final determination
[EDIT] Apparently Freeman wrote a foreword for his book and as a result Ivan had the CFP recuse him when it came to voting for ND. That kinda sucks, probably hurt us more than anything not having that vote, but whatever. I guess he's okay.
Probably, but there's a scenario too where if he ranks ND even one spot higher than everyone else it'll bring into question bias (Cause the committee is all unbiased, right??)Recusals in this context are the dumbest fucking thing. Sure, but then how’s he supposed to rank Miami, Alabama, and BYU? With a placeholder for ND? And is anything he says about those schools also biased, since it obviously impacts ND?Probably, but there's a scenario too where if he ranks ND even one spot higher than everyone else it'll bring into question bias (Cause the committee is all unbiased, right??)
Unlike the committee chair who is a sitting athletic director in a conference that has five teams in the playoff including the one that got its balls kicked in the night before the final vote.Probably, but there's a scenario too where if he ranks ND even one spot higher than everyone else it'll bring into question bias (Cause the committee is all unbiased, right??)
And who had to fire his coach the day after ND beat his team into the ground earlier in the season. I doubt that made him want to vote for ND later on.Unlike the committee chair who is a sitting athletic director in a conference that has five teams in the playoff including the one that got its balls kicked in the night before the final vote.
He wouldn't anywhere near as biased as someone who wrote a book about a coach from 80 years ago.
Their HC was already on the hot seat. There had been a lot of speculation that he would be fired at some point. MF and company simply provided him with a reason to do it during the season instead of waiting until the season was over. And who had to fire his coach the day after ND beat his team into the ground earlier in the season. Feels like its an unwritten rule that they should be done, so you can choose your own adventure and recuse yourself from a situation or not. In a situation of glaringly obvious conflict of interest, it's ultimately up to the individual as to how they wish to proceed.Recusals in this context are the dumbest fucking thing. Bring out the gimp!
Why? The usc thing predates him. This guy is way in over his head and the sooner NDs admin recognizes, the better.
What concessions should he have made to USC? Why should ND make all the concessions? If they don't want to continue to rivalry in good faith, fine. Whatever. This guy is way in over his head and the sooner NDs admin recognizes, the better.
What does it have to do with? This guy is way in over his head and the sooner NDs admin recognizes, the better.
EDIT: this has nothing to do with Stinkin Lincoln and USC.
Ok elaborate if it has nothing to do with USC, you very well could be right but what gives you the impression he’s in over his head? This guy is way in over his head and the sooner NDs admin recognizes, the better.

Then you've fallen for the same false propaganda of all those fans/talking heads and USC's bullshit reasoning. The MoU was a known agreement with the CFP since at least this past spring. A deal that was signed in 2024. Don't hold water for those pussies.I am starting to change my opinion on him. He has absolutely lost the PR battle which should have been an easy win after we were the victims of a corrupt system. And its not just because ESPN had all their talking head turn on us. Leaking the guaranteed spot with the MoU was nothing but shooting ourselves in the foot. It did nothing to satisfy fans that saw the obvious way it could be worked around by the committee, but enraged fans of every other team, and reportedly some ADs, and is now, accurately or not, being cited as one reason USC backed out of the series, once again turning the public against us and in favor of them in a situation where we are seemingly the victim of others' actions. I know we'll never be everyone's favorite, but we had some general goodwill with Freeman being so likable and we threw that all away for essentially nothing.
I remember people talking about the MoU. If other college admins just found out about this, they are idiots and/or need better lawyersThen you've fallen for the same false propaganda of all those fans/talking heads and USC's bullshit reasoning. Yep. The MOU should have surprised no one. Except the outrage addicts on ESPN I guess. Then you've fallen for the same false propaganda of all those fans/talking heads and USC's bullshit reasoning.
