Swarby does get his bag of d's.. and a lot of it is deserved... but im convinced that if swarbrick was our ad, we would not have gotten left out of the playoffs this year.

Gravitas. Petey got played.
Agreed here.

Pete is playing the fiddle as the whole athletic Dept burns down. He hasn’t even said a word about basketball.

Honeymoon is over buddy. Do you f***ing job now.

The whole athletic department burns down?

What is he supposed to say about basketball? Jack shouldn’t have stuck me with a loser with a phat contract that I’m not gonna sign off on a ton of NIL towards?

Dude doesn’t realize baseball is in a great spot, lacrosse is number 1 in the nation, WBB is in the sweet 16, Fencing just won yet another national title, and any other number of athletic teams that are doing well. But yea the WHLOE athletic department is burning down. Lotta ignorant folks on here these days.

I don’t think he wants to give Shrewsberry more resources. He didn’t hire him.

Then why aren't we moving on from him?

Probably don’t want to pay the buy out. He just coached most of a season without his best player. He’s only 3 years into a 7 year deal. Maybe Shrewsberry still finds an off ramp this cycle (like Butler).

So he’s doubling down on a problem instead of moving on from said problem. Great to know our AD is proactive and a solution-oriented guy!

Seems more like the opposite of doubling down to me. But it’s not my money.

ND baseball is in a great spot? They are playing some better baseball this season, but let's pump the brakes. Make the tournament and then we can talk.

We probably spent more on the transfer class alone than the basketball team, by a decent amount.

and most here would do it 10/10 times
12 out of 10 times, TBH.
We're just not a (men's) basketball school, and that's fine. Personally I'd rather invest in football and then all the other sports where you can get more bang for your buck - like lacrosse, baseball, hockey, soccer, all the womens sports - than throw money at basketball just to get us up to, what, 8th place in the ACC instead of 16th?
Should we be better than we are? Sure. Is it worth buying out Shrewsbury right now and then paying his replacement (and all the transfers)? I dunno.

Cortisol is way too high bro. You could be out there making millions, donating to the basketball NIL.

You need to be ascending. Not adminmogging.

If we win a natty in football we could go 0-31 in basketball and I would not give a dang.

Shut it down. We’re a lacrosse and football school

Apparently not, and that's the problem.
We're paying a coach who can't seem to recruit and coach up a team to a suitable standard. Wonder what Brey's buyout is.
He can't recruits because we don't pay for said recruits?
