We can pass protect like I haven't seen us in some time. But some of our run blocking isn't very good. The offensive line is a big part of the red zone problems IMO.

Anyone know what happened between Luke and Rhule after KVR's pick? Saw a brief highlight, but wondered if there was a story.
RZ plays/playcalling continues to be a problem. They stack the box, BK's answer is 5-wide empty backfield. Alabama, Stanford, MState, OSU would probably all go jumbo package with 7 lineman. If OL is our strength, why not use it? Or how about line up with what looks like a jumbo package with 3 TEs and your tallest receiver, then audible them out wide. Seems like you should be able to find a mismatch. I mean, there has to be an answer here.
Something else that I think BK does poorly is move his weapons around.
Another thing I dont understand is why every WR route seems to be 10 yards straight downfield then there's movement. It doesn't seem like the route trees include quick slants or crossing routes inside the LBs. Other teams have used them often and we see one of our LB's chasing the TE or RB all the way across the field and cant keep up. Quick slants also work in the RZ.
Saw that and wondered the same thing..

Love my Irish. But I must admit I enjoyed watching Matakevich for Temple. Plays the game like a caged animal, and is a tackling machine. He was always in the picture around the ball. I hope he does well at the next level.
Agree. Moving CJ Prosise to RB has been a TOTAL BUST.
Something else that I think BK does poorly is move his weapons around. For example, Fuller always plays on the outside. If he's being double covered, why not line him up in the slot or send him in motion inside, to get a mismatch. USC does this very well. Getting Fuller covered by a safety alone or LB could result in big plays.
Dude, you completely took his comment out of context. You actually removed half of it to shape it to your liking. That's kinda pathetic.
Here is what he actually said:
Brace yourselves fellas, the biggest highlight from this game is gonna be the Bk barking at grimes; gonna be replayed a lot this week.
The more I watch Temple's last TD run, the more sure I am that Baratti more or less did his job and it was our Mike's job to clean it up once he cut up field. With our corner getting driven into the back of the end zone, Baratti's first responsibility had to be keeping the back from getting outside.
One thing you can say this year is the blocking from the Wr's has been very good.
If by doing his job you mean looking completely foolish in the open field, I agree.
Baratti obviously wants to keep outside leverage so that if he does miss the tackle, the rb is forced to cut back to the middle. However, his job is to make the tackle or at least make contact to slow the back to some degree. Neither of those things happened.

Nice to have you on board, Coach VanGorder. Or is it Coach Lyght? I mean, you must be one of those two guys, right? You know everyone's job, right?
To be fair, his job probably was to come up and fill the cutback lane, while whoever had outside contain(LB or CB?) forced him back inside. But obviously whoever had outside contain failed pretty loudly. So what is the safety's responsibility when he sees that? Just fill the cutback lane and let the back walk around the corner into the end zone?
^Damn we have the worst fans.
