Wanted to start a new thread for this one, because although ND may not last long in the tourney, it should be an action-packed five days and this deserves its separate thread.

Bracket to be posted when its final. Tournament layout is below:

2014 ACC Tournament Bracket - March Madness Tournament Brackets - ESPN

ND goes into the tourney as the #13 seed. They will play #12 seed Wake Forest on Wednesday, March 12th at 1:00 pm. If they win, they will play #5 seed Pitt on Thursday at 2:00 pm.

Personally, I think this is a very good draw for us. I'm not expecting ND to rip off 5 wins in 5 days, but I don't think its out of the realm of possibility for us to win two games and make things interesting in the quarterfinals. Wake beat Duke this week, but they are just 2-9 since they beat us in January. That game in January was an incredibly ugly one where we shot 2-16 from 3 and DJ didn't even attempt a shot. I think were a much different and better team since then, and since this one wont be on the road, I would expect us to be favored by a couple. Pitt has struggled a lot recently as well, ending the year 5-5 with 4 of those wins coming in OT and the other one coming against BC. I don't think Pitt has any more talent than we do, and it should be another tight one like the game in South Bend last week. I honestly think its a coin toss on a neutral site against Pitt, they have 0 good wins all year.

What are everyone's thoughts and predictions? Personally, I think Duke will win.

Toss up. I could see any of the top 4 seeds winning it.

Also, I think conference tourney's are the biggest joke. I'd rather they scrapped the tourney and added 2 more games or something.

I think too much weight is placed on them, but I love them for the entertainment. I also think more small leagues should adopt the Ivy route so that their best team can actually make the tourney. I do like them for the power conferences though.The old Big East tourneys were practically better than March Madness. I'm still pissed ND never made a championship there at MSG.

Conference Tourneys are the only thing I watch, I don't know if anything can compete with the old Big East Tournaments. I remember staying up all night watching the 20 something OT game and getting kicked out of class in HS for yelling after Kemba hit his buzzer beater a couple years ago. Hopefully the ACC tourney can produce some memorable moments.

I'm not saying they aren't entertaining, but there is way too much stock put into them.

Grew up in upstate NY...."Let's Go Orange"!! Miss the old Big East but the ACC is fantastic!

Read on ISD that 2 wins should get us into the NIT with a .500 record. I wasn't sure if it was .500 or above .500 that was the necessary requirement, so 2-1 would do it for us.

As poorly as we've played this year, ND has gone toe-to-toe with everyone minus UVA and one half against NC (who we played great against the second time). They shouldn't be overwhelmed in any game.

Would love to see us win tomorrow and then beat Pitt to knock them out of the tourney. Brey knows how to coach against Pitt and we would have beaten them soundly in South Bend if it weren't for our absolute inability to rebound. Don't have high hopes but that would be a decent run.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking. Beat Wake by 10+, beat Pitt in a tight one, play NC close for about 25-30 minutes then lose

Hey you never know the only team we've lost by more then 10 points was virgina so we've played teams rly close to breaking through. Never know what can happen in the tourney. Look at uconn couple years back.

True. Especially if we get hot and win a couple and UNC comes out cold with too much time off.

Ya exactly but it's hard to get hot when we really don't have a guy like grant who can take the game over.

Why does Mike Brey even show up to these games? Play man-to-man, force 3 straight turnovers. Switch to zone, Wake drains another open 3. Play man-to-man again and force a miss. All year this team has had no clue how to play the 2-3 zone yet we still keep going back to it.
