Didn't see a thread on this but apparently Tate Forcier had withdrawn from San Jose state and has "disappeared".

seriously, I mean this guy just needs to find a school and stick with it. Even if it's not for football. Look pass football and see what the hell you're gonna do with your life if that doesn't work out. Some kids just don't get it

this is a case IMO where his parents forced him into football and made it his life. Weren't all his brothers college QBs?

Also, I truly feel bad for this kid, but on a side note IMO he is the reason why Weis isn't our coach. If we beat Michigan I think that season goes very differently.

Yup, all of them transferred out of their respective schools as well.

I don't know what it's like to have parents like that, but at some point I'd start looking out for what's in my best interest. This kid had a scholarship to not just play football, but actually go to a good academic institution that could get him a good degree, but instead he's just gonna throw that all away because he wants to be THE guy. smh

Tate Forcier. Oh, Tate Forcier.

I still have nightmares of that fourth down in '09 when he juked our linebackers out of their shoes on his way to a 40 yard touchdown.

But really, hope this kid gets help. I just hope he never takes a snap against ND again.

So apparently he just doesn't do any work for anything? Sounds like plenty of other people. The only thing that makes Tate any different is that at one point in time he played QB at Michigan and beat Notre Dame.

There's probably going to be some ESPN 30 for 30 on him in the future.

Just let the boy **** up in peace. Hopefully he figures it out someday.

Well Weis could have ran the ball and clock on that last 3rd down and essentially ended the game. But unfortunately it wasn't in the cards.

Hamilton is my hometown as well. Camp opens in a few weeks... we'll see what he does. Although with the starter and backup pretty much decided, he'll be battling for clipboard duties.

The CFL doesn't lack athletes... it's a different style of game that doesn't bring out the attributes that make a successful american football player much of the time. A lot of solid NFL players past and present started in the CFL. In fact, Robert Ismail has one of the most memorable plays in the league's history. It's a great game and fans up here are as rabid about it as folks down south with the NFL.

Just an update on Tate. He played in Hamilton's first preseason game. He went 0 for 4 with an INT, 1 rush for 7 yards. He was cut from the team this morning. However, Dan LeFevour, the stud from Central Michigan, had a great game (likely stealing Forcier's 3rd string job) going 8 for 15 for 120 yards and a TD, no INT. He also had 4 rushes for 33 yards.

Should point out that Forcier had 4 possessions before he was pulled while LeFevour played the entire 4th quarter.
