I just never want to hear that announcing crew call another ND game for the rest of my life. They spent parts of the second half just straight up advocating for Miami and then called Marcus Freeman "insecure." Then Brock Osweiler stated multiple times us trying to score at the end of the game was some unusual event that never occurs, meanwhile Miami did the same thing like 10 hours earlier in the day and has done so multiple times this season.

Wait…they called Freeman insecure? I fell asleep about half way through the 3rd quarter accidentally

Rewatching second half. Absolutely brutal listen with the announcers. Saying freeman is trying to run up the score for playoff purposes because CJ Carr was playing in THE 3rd QUARTER! Just absolutely stupid. They talked about everything but the freaking game that was going on.

Don’t let the score fool you either. We thoroughly beat Stanford and reserves gave up two touchdowns at roughly ~2 am south bend time

So I’ve been admittedly anti playoff from day 1 of the four team and have never watched a single stupid reveal show,… lol. I never knew the rankings drop Tuesdays, I thought we’d know where we stood later today. Horseshit . Everything about this system sucks lol

The “insecure” comments and blasting “running up the score” were asinine. That’s message board shit and I am was embarrassed for them. The coverage in general was third rate.

Also, it’s not a conspiracy theory when you simply have vested interests acting within their means to protect those interests. It’s obvious we’re viewed as disposable and not the “in crowd” by the ACC and all adjacent parties to that deal. ND should be acting the same and seeking arrangements that further their own interests. I am sure other parties would be happy to take the call.

No conspiracy,… there’s a reason every playoff dialogue nationally revolves around ND and not other potential gripes like a quarter of one conference getting in bc they simply don’t play each other enough etc,… if ND were contracted to a Disney channel or a conference similarly aligned we wouldn’t hear a third of the noise we are hearing

I still say ND should just create a troll conference,… Army, Navy, Eastern Michigan, Purdue, Carnegie Mellon and UTEP and call it the national champion conference

I am done with the ACC..the issue lies with our other sports...although
we make it work with Hockey playing in Big Ten...I think Big Ten makes the most sense...especially with some of our traditional rivalries...looking at you USC lol

I watched without the sound on. I couldn’t figure out why the entire second half they were showing the Stanford sideline and very few shots of the ND sideline. Stanford’s season has been a disaster - what were they talking about?

You were smart for doing that. The issue is that ND football doesn't give two shits about the ACC and these clowns announcing the game were corporate shills.

They went on about their new hire a few times..

The funniest part was them trying to figure out Stanfords path back into the game a few times 😂

“If they score a TD here.. then stop ND then score again & then get the ball at the half & score again”

They were pretty brutal.. all excited for Stanford trying to air it out to score in the 4th & questioning why ND would still even try to move the ball at all.

I don't have ESPN so I listened on the radio but I heard it was basically a Stanford infomercial + discussion about why ND shouldn't be in the playoff? Oh, and it ended at 2am. I'm sure the 95% of people watching who are ND fans appreciated all that.

It was, and we didn't, lol.

Yeah they said he felt insecure about our team's position so he was going to try to "run up the score" because our starters were still in the game in the third quarter.

And the "running up the score" shit is so dumb to me. What are we supposed to do? Just take a knee every snap? To me, so long as the other team is trying to score (and Stanford absolutely was) then it's fair game for us to keep trying, especially considering our backups played the entire 4th quarter. We've already "conceded" a bit by putting in the backups, are we supposed to just run HB dive up the A gap every snap? Stop our backups.

Ok would I have accepted 49-20 before the game with a 42-3 lead at one point? Of course. But given we were up 42-3 mid 3rd quarter absolutely not. From that point on I keep my foot on the gas. 63-6 puts a huge exclamation point on the game and blows any head to head comparisons away. Someone on the committee is going to be comparing this game and the Pitt game. Two missed opportunities imo. Our guys would have plenty of time to heal and BS to freshman playing. Miami was keeping in all starters while up 30-7 against Pitt with under a minute left. Getting sick of the prevent offense with Minchey and the zone third string D.

Postgame Thoughts:
1. I hope this isn't the last of Love we've seen.
2. If there is 1 kid that deserves a shot to get a TD this season it's Eli Raridon- 32 catches, 482 yards, & 0 TD's
3. Aneyas 'do it all' Williams- patience will pay off for him.
4. Carr to Faison- great throw by Carr, better catch by Faison.
5. Leonard Moore being Leonard more- great game for him.
6. Faraimo filled in nicely for KVA.

This team can hang with any team in the country, I wouldn't want to play ND, hopefully they make it to the CFP.

Go Irish ☘️

Big ten has been the obvious solution for years. I guess we don’t want to become northwestern or something but …. ACC is just stupid.

It would be one thing if the ACC at least had interesting teams to play. But aside from sometimes Miami and sometimes Clemson they all suck. Big Ten would be a lot more fun.

The benefit to the program of getting young guys meaningful reps massively outweighs any marginal effect of blowing out Stanford by slightly more.

I’m not 100% sure we’ll make the playoffs, but I am positive it won’t be because of our margin of victory in this game.

On the other hand, getting Williams touches may very well be what brings him back next year. Letting our staff see how guys actually perform may be what we need to avoid the personnel issues we had in weeks 1 and 2 this year. Having Freeman be able to look a recruit in the eyes and say you will be able to get time even if you’re not the starter right away may shore up our recruiting classes.

At this point, if this coaching staff hasn’t earned your trust, I don’t know what to say.

Agree to disagree on style points. Agree with many of your comments re PT just not when it costs us points in both sides of the ball in this game.

1. Fuck #14 on Stanford, he hurt J. Love and I believe it was intentionally dirty. Watch how he comes in at the end drops on him with his knee and then grinds his knee across his ribcage. It might be a rib issue/cartilage issue. I hope that kid gets blown the fuck up, I was actually hoping the offense would take him to the fuckin woodshed. If Love isn't fully healthy for the playoffs, he cost us something we'll never get back. FUCK HIM.

2. It was a boring game because this team is so damn good. So damn good with backups in. So damn good with backups to the backups in. I mean we're down 3 on the OL, lost our all-Galaxy RB and Aneyas comes in and just puts in work with Price. We're down one of our two best DTs, down one of our 3 best LBs, down our best(?) safety and we completely bottled them up.

Who will be ready for a playoff run? Rubio, Schrauth, Greathouse, Tae Johnson? Could anyone else be near full health if we win 1?

Not sure the third stringers were awesome the last 20 minutes of that game on offense or defense.

It 100% looked dirty. He was already on the ground, #14 came in with the knee shot.

10:30 Pm EST kickoff was absurd and I hope I never go through that again.

Good on the guys for coming out ready to play despite the bizarre kickoff time and never giving Stanford an ounce of hope. That fake punt was amazing. When do teams start just lining up in base D against ND's punt unit?

4th quarter was atrocious, but we took our foot off the gas. That is all.

Go Irish. Go TTU (Ew). Go Bulldogs. (way more ew).
