If they take care of business, ND should debut top 5 in the CFB playoff rankigns

I like that we didn't have to endure the smug smile tonight. The crowd was fantastic. A great experience for any recruits in the house!

Who tho? Book is a wizard, but not sure his stats are gaudy enough. If Dex had played the first 4, then absolutely.

I think if Book and Dex continue, at the same level, especially Book, the talking heads will put them in the mix because of the ND name. In fairness, they do need to consider both missed basically a 3rd of the season...

Loved BK's post game on NBSSN. The interview I just watched on ESPN, not so much. Short, and nothing new. They asked about the QB change, and BK said the same Urgency script he's already used. I'll be happy when they stop asking about QBs... I think BK put that Q to bed in the post game

Has a player ever been able to win, or even compete really, for the Heisman in a shortened campaign with...I'll say limited stats?

Quick scenario. If, and these are big if's, Stanford wins the Pac 12 and Michigan takes the Big 10 then at years end we've got wins over 2 conference champions (and with Clemson hobbled at QB, Va Tech could potentially be a 3rd conference champion W). Schedule may not look that great the rest of the way out, but I'll be rooting for Stanford and Michigan the rest of the way just for playoffs sake.

Until we lose two games, always cheer for our opponents.
SC will end up beating Stanford in the CC IMO, but either way, we have an op to beat both
scUM will get crushed by OSU if they don't slip up before
VT, they have multiple personalities, so I don't really know. Aside from us, they have a clear path to Clemson in the CC

A quick search and I found that Notre Dame's Angelo Bertelli only played in 6 games, missing four while he served in the military, and won the Heisman. That was 1943

John David Crow missed like 2 and a half games with a knee injury and still won it in 1957

Other than that, no one has won it missing more than 1 game, and it seems that's only happened 3 times. (Charles White 1/2 game, Testaverde 1 game, Charlie Ward 1 game)

OSU didn't look impressive tonight, given against a very talented team, but no more talented than ND. I think ND would've closed that one out, but I'm also Robert Downey drunk off that Stanford-win koolaid. I'm so drunk on that koolaid that Bama is legit the only team where I'd concede a loss, probably ala 2012. Every other team is fair game in my opinion, bring on Clemson and whichever freshman QB they want to get their lunch ate for 4 qtrs.

Boom. Nice job.

How's Alex?

How's Khalid?

MRI tomorrow for Alex, and lots of ice for Khalid. Jafar out till after bye.

OSU beat a top ten team on the road. That's good enough to maintain if not move forward.

Bama is the only team I truly believe we'd have no chance against.
