Only real assholes quote themselves and respond to it.
"In order to find his equal, a Scotsman is forced to talk to himself."

Out of curiosity, do either of you guys think he would be successful in the NFL?
Man has the most beautiful hair. His hair makes me so tingly. L.A. could not handle that perfectly sculpted do.

Guy can recruit/motivate, and while ND would be something more than he is ready for...USC...he'd be ready for that.
Totally agree, I think if Tampa Bay or Raiders(Jacksonville) come a calling BK will be gone.
This year maybe different but I hope he isn't here in 10 yrs if he doesn't start winning more, 8- 5, 9-4 ect ain't good enough.of course...SO everyone thinks he is chummy with Belichick because of Bill's warm personality. Who better to talk to? He IS going to pull the trigger at some point. I think he wants to win a natty before...I think he has two clocks running...a natty, and he's gone or if no natty and ten years goes by...he's gone.
Not sure that's accurate. Aside from the early morning visit that stole Ishaq from PSU, Diaco was notoriously disinterested as a recruiter. And his inflexibility relative to positional body-type profiles left us with some glaring holes on our depth chart.

I think if you watch his stuff at Uconn, you'll see where he is still body type, but has come off it some. Uhm, as to the holes...can't hang some of that on unholy attrition? ND isn't easy, as you well know. Southern Cal is a bunch easier, so even if you are correct, his weakness wouldn't be a weakness (as much) there. I think he'd win in bunches at USC.
Attrition had nothing to do with it. He straight up failed to recruit any replacement for Nix, and he only brought in 3 ILBs during his 4 years at ND. That's simply inexcusable for a DC running a 3-4.
I like Bobby D. He took a defense that was ranked 68th nationally in 2009, and whipped it into the one of the most suffocating units in the country by 2012. But the guy was far from perfect, even as a DC, and he appears to be in over his head as a HC.

Perfect...I'd say he sure wasn't perfect. I don't think he is in over his head...its Uconn. Yes we all have horrible nightmares about Uconn, but that Uconn has long been dead...He will make them compete...already has them competing beyond what they were.
I don't want Diaco for HC of ND, but I think the jury is still out as far as Bob as a HC overall. They had only two wins last season, and at the halfway point they're already one better than that mark this year. Of the 3 losses they have, one was a close one to Missouri, and the other was a competitive loss to a good Navy team. Their only bad game was against BYU I think. I think he has them moving in the right direction. UConn could end up bowl eligible at 6-6, but I think they'll probably finish 5-7. ECU is the question mark, it's a winnable game, but a tough opponent for them. That, or they would have to find a way to beat Cinci. UConn should beat USF and Tulsa.
If there ever was a coach that's in over his head, it's Chuck Martin. Miami had two wins last year, close ones against both UMass and Kent State, and their only win this year is Presbyterian. They were blown out by Ohio, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin. I don't know who wanted him to come back and coach ND after BK is gone, but I wasn't really impressed with Martin's offense in his time here...wouldn't want him back even as an OC.
"In over his head" was probably an unfair characterization. An elite coordinator like Diaco was the perfect coaching candidate for a school like UConn. But if I'm Pat Haden, there's no way I'm taking a flier on someone who's not proven. And while Diaco's tenure at UConn may ultimately be considered a success, he's far from proving himself as a HC.

UConn is the type of school new HC go to cut their teeth. It was obvious from the time he was here that Bobby D. wasn't ready to be a HC at a major football program. As Whiskey pointed out, his inability to be flexible is a problem.
Where has he been living? Why does buying/owning a house mean anything in the coaching world? He probably started in on that house months ago, before the USC position opened up and before the NFL season started; I'm guessing it means exactly fuck all to his plans.
They're just spit ballin
So the real question is who replaces Brian Kelly when he goes to the Eagles.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Chip Kelly, Sean Payton among potential USC coaching candidates, <a href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet">@RapSheet</a> reports <a href="http://t.co/MyiHR0lx8H">http://t.co/MyiHR0lx8H</a></p>— Around The NFL (@AroundTheNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/AroundTheNFL/status/655746525310488576">October 18, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
