I’m ignorant how all this works. So the OSU deal could be worth more because they pay additional NIL payments to players? Even if the SoFi deal doesn’t allocate money to NIL explicitly it’s hard for me to think this doesn’t go directly to paying players on the roster.It is just a relief for the university, it does nothing for recruiting. So yea! the university saved some cash, but it does nothing to make us better. The OSU deal had a NIL component that helped open doors for them. This one does not.
