Throw in the fact that ND can use the SOFI connection to tell recruits they can pay them the money and then get them resources to use that money effectively.

I don’t give a shit if the jersey looks like NASCAR if we keep buying the best players. I’m sure they’ll still sell plain apparel. They’re finally on the forefront of college football and I’m not going to worry about a patch.

It is just a relief for the university, it does nothing for recruiting. So yea! the university saved some cash, but it does nothing to make us better. The OSU deal had a NIL component that helped open doors for them. This one does not.
I’m ignorant how all this works. So the OSU deal could be worth more because they pay additional NIL payments to players? Even if the SoFi deal doesn’t allocate money to NIL explicitly it’s hard for me to think this doesn’t go directly to paying players on the roster.

Part of their contract states they will offer NIL opportunities to players. Our's is structured different.
