Notre Dame vs Florida International in China, to get off to an SEC kind of start.
We should play University of Bejing, Fighting Dragons!! Their entire team is appartently quicker than fast!

While I agree...I think a Nebraska, Wisconsin, Mizzou matchup in St.Louis would be a good thing. I don't like the additional west coast game. We already alternate USC/Stanford every year. Another west coast (home) game is a lot.I'd like to see a simple 3-year rotation going as follows
1) Cowboys Stadium.
2) NY/NJ (either Giants Stadium or Yankee Stadium)
3) Atlanta/New Orleans
I don't like the idea of playing in the Midwest. I don't think it offers much recruiting-wise. We already play at least 7 games in the Midwest every year. Playing in Boston is even more pointless from a recruiting standpoint. Just no talent in New England. California could be cool. Play at the Niners new stadium one year and then down in San Diego the next year. I really think we should just stick with the three regions above though for these games.
What makes anyone here think Wisconsin would ever put us on their schedule. They play one of the weakest non-conference slates every freaking year.
Well done yet again on the Shamrock Series. I loved watching the kids on the sidelines looking up at the big screen.
I saw attendance was about 66,000, is that anywhere close to sold out?
Superdome (New Orleans), Lincoln Financial (Philadelphia), Anywhere in Texas, Candle Stick Park (SF), and Atlanta would be great locations.
And I disagree about avoiding California. That's probably our most heavily recruited state.
Lambeau would be awesome but I don't think it'd meet the recruiting requirement.
Who so? Every team in the country will want to play in Texas/anywhere. It's exposure. Swarbrick has said they're getting a buttload of inquiries. "Notre Dame vs North Carolina in New Orleans" is something we will see.
Why? A game against Louisville at Lucas Oil Stadium would be nice also. What's your reasoning?
Have they announced who we play next year in the series?
I think we play Syracuse in the New Meadowlands.
I'm obviously in this just for recruiting but my five year rotation:
1) Dallas
2) New Orleans
3) Houston
4) New York/Boston/Lambeu
5)San Antonio/New Orleans again
I'll give you three guesses which 2 states I think we need to invade.![]()
That's a Syracuse home game, not the Shamrock Series game. They haven't announced the 2014 game yet.
I believe capacity is 80,000.
Like its been said above, that would be possible outside of Atlanta Charlotte or somewhere in Florida.Oh. Then playing Wake or UNC somewhere seems most likely. I think it would be for the best if we played 2 road, 2 home, and 1 neutral site game with our ACC schedule. At least do that every other year.
So we have 3 neutral site games next year essentially? Navy, Syracuse, Shamrock Series? I wonder how often that happens.

My only wishes are it be in an NFL stadium in a recruiting hotbed against a ranked opponent and we win.
I think it's huge. Would a guy like soso jamabo or daylon mack have this much early interest in nd if they didn't go to the game and were impressed by the fans, atmosphere, team, etc...I don't think so. Not that it couldn't happen, but I don't think it's likely. If soso wasn't at the game, he would have probably been watching more of the Ohio State game or any other game that was interesting to go along with nd. So maybe recruits think its cool to go around the country but targeting regions definitely helps to peak the interest of younger recruits.I'm not sure how much the recruiting angle is related to WHERE the game is as much as recruits from all across the country saying "wow it would be sweet to play at an NFL/MLB stadium as an undergrad." Even a kid from Texas would be stoked to play at Lambeau or Fenway or Gillette or Yankee Stadium or Giant Stadium (or whatever it's called now).
Please, for all that is holy, football gods, no more indoor games. Domes make me die a little on the inside.

The 2015 schedule currently has the Irish slated for six home games (Boston College, Georgia Tech, Massachusetts, Navy, Texas, USC) and five away games (Clemson, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Virginia). The one remaining game would presumably be targeted for the Shamrock Series.
Swarbrick has been silent on future venues and opponents for the Shamrock Series, likely due to the maneuvering that must be done in order to fit in five ACC games each season. The games should continue, as both the school and NBC, who gets a rare primetime game, have reaped the benefits from a truly unique endeavor.
Chicago should be kept in the fold (once every five years) in order to take advantage of its close proximity to South Bend and alumni base larger than any other city in the country. Other new markets that should be explored include Cincinnati, Kansas City, Nashville, Phoenix and St. Louis.
We open up with Texas in 2015 and then again at texas in 2016, the 2015 game would be cool to make a shamrock game.
Its my understanding its a home and home series which I like.

Shamrock could "technically" be the home half of a home and home. It's not officially neutral site.

BTW our schedule next year is murder.
Rice (probably will be replaced with Wake Forest)
Michigan
Purdue
Louisville--Shamrock Series?
@ Syracuse (MetLife)
Stanford
Bye?
@FSU?
UNC?
@Navy (FedEx Field)
@ASU
Northwestern
Bye?
@USC
That is literally the most daunting schedule I have ever seen. This is why we can't keep playing Michigan moving forward.
