Yes the play calling made me pull some hair out, but, the game came down to one thing.

Their receivers made plays and our didn't.
Both of their touchdown drives happened because their guys went up and got the ball.

The crowd was embarrassing. Hopefully the recruits just get confused and think they were at homecoming in Athens

That is the best D NF will see all year. With the ND defense being this good, they will win the majority of games going forward. I am feeling that we only lose 1maybe 2 more.

What 1 or 2 more losses, wow Georgia not close to the best team on Notre Dame's schedule. I hope your are right though.

It's just hard to believe that Wimbush is the best qb that ND can field.

It's just typical under Kelly. Ask the guy to do way too much. We have one good WR, the TE's aren't very good. The strength of this offense should be a power running team but that's never going to happen under Kelly.

Notre Dame's OL is good. In Kelly 8 years has anyone ever seen one player do a speed rush like number 17? Mike has never practiced against that. How is he going to stop it? Think about it

Not knocking him, because I think he had a tough assignment tonight. But my guess is he sees someone like that every Sunday next year.

Our coaches staying with Adams was criminal. Had zero speed in helps break. Nice catch, and missed blocks. So sweet. Thanks BK with bad player choices today.

Very, very disappointed in whimbysh as a thrower. Can Jursovec (sp?) get her soon?

Better team won-my Irish played tough and the defense needs a big hats off-helluva job--the negative for me was all the red in the stadium and in my opinion those who sold tickets are just not fans this team needs-if you have enough $$$$ to own those tickets and don't want to go to the game sell them to a real Notre Dame fan who would love the privilege of seeing a game in person. MAYBE THE MOST DISAPOINTING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE AS A NOTRE DAME FAN WAS THE GA FAN BASE ALLOWED TO BUY INTO THE STADIUM IN THAT AMOUNT OF PEOPLE-TRAGIC AND REAL ^%$$#$&@. That was just not right. This was a Notre Dame home game wasn't it. Go Irish.

Disagree, Wimbush was terrible. Throws were high, low, or off target. Reads were slow and often incorrect. Missed gaps running the ball. And his pocket presence was like a 12 year old playing Madden. Hold the turbo button and run straight backwards until you run out of stamina.

Not saying he's the only one who deserves blame but he was flat-out bad.

Its on the play calling. You can't keep putting a young QB in 3rd and 8-10 every single time. Especially after completely giving away 1st and 2nd down more times than not.

Put the kid in a position to attack. Put the defense on the heels. Don't call the game like you are offensive coordinating a middle school JV game.

Thoroughly out coached. Whoever is calling the offense made exactly 0 adjustments and had their lunch handed to them by Kirby Smart. They couldn't run on the edges and Adams isn't quick enough to run inside because our Offensive line can't hold their blocks. Where are our vaunted TEs?

Georgia is a middle of the pack SEC team. With a QB they would have scored 35. They couldn't test out corners much but when they did they scored.

I am so frustrated because this was a typical missed opportunity under Brian Kelly.

The Defense looked really solid tonight.
Offense/QB played to not lose the game.

Frustrating...

Mvp - Mike Elko. Killed it tonight. Georgia got one TD as a direct result of an awful "late hit".

LVP - chip....my boy... mix it up. You don't beat good defenses with that playcalling. Attack. Go downfield.

Wimbush wasn't great but help him out

Who's the best in your opinion? I think they lose to one of USC or Stanford.

I love Notre Dame but USC look like a championship team. Even if the defense can hang with USC, offensively ND will lose. Here is the thing Wimbush is a first year starter and this team went 4-8 last year fans are asking a lot for team to go 10-2 this year. Wimbush will struggle, as he should.

BK brought in a whole new staff this team is rebuilding, that means 2018 or 2019 are the possible breakout years.

Did anybody really think we were gonna win? That 4th quarter was BK era football. How is it that we can play damn near everybody (good or bad) at virtually the same type of close 1 possession game, and lose? I'll tell you how, cause this coaching staff SUCKS! Our "athletes" can show up well enough to play a pretty decent Georgia team, but those same "athletes" are gonna make BC a game that can be a coin flip in the 4th. You take a coaching staff with any sort of passion at all and this team or ANY team that ND fields with the recruiting they get, could win and win big. Maybe not Alabama type win, but win consistently and contend, ALA Michigan. Jim Harbaugh at the helm of this team wins 10 games easy, CONSISTENTLY. It's painful being a ND fan under BK. Such an arrogant pompous ignorant coach whose pride thinks his shit doesn't stink.

Grades:

Defense:

DL: A (Especially for the Hayes brothers. The middle wasn't perfect, but they held up nicely. Both the Hayes' made tons of plays and kept this game from getting out of hand.)

LB: A (Morgan, Coney and Tranquill were all over the place. Very few misses and they hung in there, despite not getting any breathers.)

S: B (They let a few guys behind, but nothing major. Tackling was pretty good too. Weren't tested that much. The one passing TD they gave up, can't do anything about that. Overall, Watkins stands out. Just a BEASTLY corner.)

Special Teams:

Yoon: A (We were worried, but we can put those to rest. 4/4 and pretty much gave us all our offense tonight. Some quality kicks too.)

Punt Coverage: A (Very solid work and great open field tackling. I see you Flexter.)

Kick Coverage: C+ (Not so good. Lucked out with the holding call on the first kickoff. They got better as the game went on though.)

Kick Return: B- (Meh. It was a'ight. Some bad ones early, but Sanders nearly ripped one for six. Still a good return though)

Punt Return: B- (Nothing but fair catches the eye can see. Whatever. Didn't muff any of them. Finke has balls of steel though.)

Offense....Ugh, the offense....

I'll make this easier on me, because they all earned the same grade. F. QB gets an F, RB gets an F, OL gets an F, TE gets and F, WR gets and F. I know Georgia has a very stout defense, but ND couldn't do ANYTHING. They couldn't run it inside, outside, screen pass, bubble screen, deep shot. Nada. So much for McGlinchey being a first rounder. He sucked big time today. I know, they all sucked, but McGlinchey is a 5th year captain who's projected to be the 1st OL taken in the draft. He played like a true freshman who hadn't an effin' what he was doing. Wimbush was awful, but I can hardly blame him. NOBODY was giving him help. They were playing in a box all game. Receivers are bad. Other than EQ, they can't get open. They're getting jammed, covered, dropping balls left and right. I vouched for Josh, saying this was his shot to steal the spotlight from Chubb and Michel. He was Mr. Invisible tonight.

In conclusion. Terrible blocking, terrible passing, terrible catching, terrible running, terrible playcalling. They're getting to the edge, so let's run these slow developing run plays that have NEVER WORKED. I'm just tired of this.

If our defense sucked, our offense was great. Now our defense is great but our offense sucks. Can we just be on the same effin' page?

I just got sick of Adams super slow running. We needed a speed change up, and we just kept running him.

Now get to hear more bk post game drivel.

You have to admit the defense was at least in position to make plays. You right though, usually the opposing team just scores a touchdown.

You are right. Defense played their asses off tonight and deserve to be credited. This isn't on the players IMO. It all starts and ends with the coaching staff. Fvcking horrible coaching. Elko did his thing and shouldn't be lumped into the whole bag, but he will be collateral damage with BK. BK is like a HS coach that has run a town/city for 20-30 years and thinks that he can do no wrong.

Well guess what BK, you are the CEO of this organization and you SUCK!
