It'll be broadcast on NBCSN between a NASCAR race and President's Cup golf coverage.

I kind of thought that with the new pricing model for games and seating sections, that maybe they were trying to provide a "semi-prime time" experience for one of the more affordable games. Not quite a night game, but extra time for tailgating and the game will end under the lights.

Nope. Just doing NBC a solid.

Way-Too-Early Score Predictions: Irish vs. RedHawks

Way-Too-Early Score Predictions: Irish vs. RedHawks

Brian Kelly and the Irish return to Notre Dame Stadium following an away with the Spartans of Michigan State. Old coach Chuck Martin comes to town with his Miami RedHawks. Will it be a happy homecoming for Martin, or will Kelly and Co. kindly lay the wood?

My take: This game does not have to be close. I repeat, this game does not have to be close, BUT it could. Expect RedHawk coach Chuck Martin to have his troops fired up and ready to play early on. Notre Dame will have to match the intensity and passion. Martin will likely dial up the whole playbook and throw the kitchen sink at the Irish staff. In the end, way too much talent on the Irish offense and an inability by the RedHawks to control the line of scrimmage on either side will result in a 20-point Irish victory. Big days from Josh Adams and Dexter Williams, with a healthy dose of efficient passes from Brandon Wimbush. Mike Elko’s defense gets it done on 3rd downs, and forces a couple turnovers.

Score: Notre Dame 37 Miami (Ohio) 17

I think this game will be more about our defense coming together and playing they way they should. And the offense just doing their thing.

my other half is heading up this weekend to visit her cousin who is a student at CMU. She will take in the CMU-Miami Ohio game if she is not too hungover. Expect an extremely detailed scouting report Sunday evening fella's

Sea of Red 3.0? Lake of Red at least?

The biggest football road game for the Redskins in forever. They are pushing this bigly. There will be a ton of them there. ND's apathy towards a MAC opponent, GA's turnout and cheap seats will promote a Miami crowd. Would have been even bigger had Chuck Martin not sh!t the bed and sent the Liberty Bell back to Chili Tech with Denbrock.

Gonna be a conflicted day.

I don't know if there are enough committed Miami fans to even form a lake of red. They might fill out a corner section in red pretty good if they all decide to travel and also sit together, though. Does that constitute a lake?

Also of note: I was actually kind of worried about Ragland being a sneaky-tough test for the ND defense, but I didn't see anything against UC that should give Elko fits to prepare for. He throws a good deep ball with tremendous accuracy, but staying in situations to take advantage of that will be a problem for the Redhawks.

As for the bolded: You ain't kidding. Imagine if BK and his team committed three monumental errors like that, all inside of two minutes. Touchdown Jesus might come to life and punish everyone.

I was arguing with a friend whether they would have a big turnout or not, so I decided to check their message boards. They sold out their allotment and then some, but their fans are pissed. It looks like all their tickets are in the upper endone as opposed to the usual corner spot, but they got charged $90 for the tickets when face for that same area for us is $45. It sounds to me like the $90 price came from what we expected the price to be when we signed the contract for the game before the new price tiers came out. Apparently their AD is pissed and is trying to get a refund from us. No matter the outcome of that, this makes the ticket office look bad, and coming right on the heels of the Georgia game no less.

Ok, I go to at least one ND game every year. My mom has been with me to every game I’ve been to though so I’ve never been able to tailgate as she wouldn’t want to do that.

This will be my first game where I can actually tailgate so where is the best spot and who would welcome 4 people into their tailgate? We will bring all of our own stuff obviously. I just want to join a great tailgate for my first tailgate experience at ND and two of my buddies first ever experience at Notre Dame Stadium.

Mom wouldn't want to just chill and eat some food, people watch?? Take the whole experience in?

I never really pushed it. She knows I tailgate when I go to games normally at home for my Bengals. I just know she isn’t into it so we would just go to the bookstore each year before the game and we would watch the player walk.

No wonder she won't go with you.... ;)

I was just curious, my mom would go with my wife and our friends, she'd just hang back and drink diet cokes... it's all good, though my friends and I are now at that age where we can chill with each other's parents and it not be awkward I guess. We openly discussed this about a year ago how we are now starting to really get to know each other's parents and it's not the least bit weird, haha.

Anything south of the stadium is one big tailgate. Even Innovation Park is full of tailgaters except that's the bus parking so there's some diesel noise and exhaust to put up with as they roll in. You really can't go wrong. For the SC game in '11 we were in the main library lot with a 100+ Kansas City area alums. One of my best game day experiences ever.

Yep. One of the best game day experiences ever BUT...

the worst game night experience hands down.

I'm 0 for this century attending SC games. 2014 was my last one though. I self banned. I couldn't do it to the team any longer. I'm Eddie Mush when it comes to ND-SC.

Totally wish I could go to this game over any.
Graduated from Miami last May, so my 2 favorites are battling it out.
As much as I love my Redskins, it might be close through the first half, but Irish will wear em' down and win by 20+.

They’ll always be Redskins to me as I grew up 20 minutes from Oxford and would go to some basketball games there as a child even though I rooted for UC not Miami
