Josh is currently wrestling for an all star team out of Illinois. I believe the pool wrestling is today and the duel team finals are tomorrow. Still wrestling at 220lbs.
I get what your saying but wrestling versus dedicated football training is not equal. Getting up to a specific weight and working on explosion, speed, and agility drill would be much better.
it actually should improve his hands and body control so it is okay and should improve his football skills.

I'm not the qualified party to make the argument, but this post makes me think of that article that came out recently about Urban Meyer and recruiting guys that were multi-sport athletes throughout high school.
The more you diversify your talents and training while you're developing in high school, the better the return once you get to the next level.
I played football my entire life, including college. I never wrestled and instead did training programs in the offseason. Big mistake. There is nothing a training program can do to match the toughness, discipline and intensity that wrestling requires. Wrestlers that played football were always tougher, more disciplined and more coachable. They were always physically stronger too. I always knew when I was lined up across a wrestler - they were stronger, knew how to use leverage and were better with their hips and hands. I'd encourage any football player to wrestle at a young age. Nothing will prepare them better. Just one man's opinion.
some new news on him from 247..if ya got the sub...i don't
We arent slipping and in his top 4 with Ohio State, Michigan and State. He talks to Denbrock and Gilmore weekly! He has supposedly ramped up his interest in us and will hopefully visit for Irish Invasion however nothing is concrete. The staff would love to get him on campus sooner and it is expected that King will be one of the first guys Gilmore visits next week
Awesome. This is what I've been wanting to hear.
And as of right now it seems like a foregone conclusion that Auston Robertson is headed to MSU. He' have been at MSU two weekends in a row. We have some ground to make up there.
Seriously: Since when does MSU beat us for recruits? Especially ones from Chicago and Fort Wayne? I know they've had a good thing going on defense the last few years, but Narduzzi's gone, and it's not like we've been lousy. I don't get it.
King and Xavier are the duo we need
I'm a huge fan of Xavier Kelly, but I feel we need a great visit to just get into his top group.
It's true what Ironman is saying, there is a lot of talk that Kareem out grows DE and becomes a 3T, which they think he can be really good at. We'd just need to still find edge rushers.

The truth is, they have been the better program over the last few years. With far less talent.
The real truth is their student athletes don't have to attend classes and do work in order to graduate.

I see. Every team that out performs ND clearly don't have to go to class or do work.
This sounds like sour grapes.
Sounds like someone who has followed what recruits, recent commits, and Malik McDowell's family actually said.
Fair enough but don't our players get to practice the same amount of time as they do? And what about Stanford and Duke? They've outperformed us too.
