We have to use the pass to setup the run. Problem is...Book. What we really need is Armstrong back and RB recruiting to get back on track.

If Book has a sense of urgency that bootleg is a TD. We won in spite of Book and covered the spread thanks to our D

Sounds like the defense was pretty darn good in the second half.

We wouldn't have won without the second half performance of the defense. The offense was disappointing again, at least until the series featuring Tony Jones near the end. The offense has to be corrected or we could struggle to finish off games all season. The offense has given no indication that we belong in any discussion of play-off teams. The defense, on the other hand, ...

If we can get a lot of 3 and outs then the running game should improve against fatigued defences.
Lea is the man.

Sad but very true. With that said Clemson was lucky to squeak one out against UNC.

I gotta say this might be the most profound thing I've read in years about winning football games.

We belong In every single conversation for the Playoffs because we won and we won with an Offence and defense on the field in our 3:30 matchup with an opposing team.

This story is getting old. Defensive talent and coaching is there. We also have some talent on O. But we do not have a good offensive scheme or coaching (aside from some position coaches NOT OL).

It's obvious sometimes when the enemy posts negative information in order to cause chaos. Go watch your team lose and leave us alone.

Not gonna say an ugly win but def got some work to do so we can beat our rivals and avoid the upset that we feel due for after 2 seasons of avoiding it.

Thank God for someone bailing someone out on our team. If the officials had switched teams last week and bailed us out instead of UGA. We would have fewer fans as haters.... and be undefeated as usual.

Anyone else think that Claypool’s ankle injury was from the UVA player twisting it at he end of the play?

Like so many before him, Book seems to have caught Second Year Starter Disease. I do not understand this.

Book was bailed out by an exceptional defensive performance.

This is silly. Book wasn’t good, but the reason we were down at halftime was a poor defensive game plan.

It wasn’t a playoff caliber performance from him, but we should have never been down at the half. Lea is great making changes at halftime, but if he would commit to making changes earlier, it wouldn’t have been as close.

Book wasn’t good, but he was in no way bailed out.

Yes, and it was obvious he was trying to hurt him. It was a dirty play and the kid should be embareased

Remember thinking it seemed like he went at his ankles unecessarily when watching live. Will have to see it again.

I wish I understood it. I cant figure out how, at a school which values education and hard work, we cant find a QB who matures in understanding and execution of an offense over the course of his time here.

Alright so my eyes weren’t lying. My wife even yelled at the tv after watching the replay. It’s a shame that that actually hurt him, absolutely embarrassing.

At first I thought it was all credit due to scouting him - pure game planning. But as the season goes on it's becoming painfully obvious to me that Book was never that good. He misses way too many easy targets, whether it be an inaccurate throw or not seeing the correct read. It's not good. He's going to be the reason we don't break our 25-year tier I bowl victory drought this season.

It was an ankle tackle and stuff happens but if you watch it in slow motion he clearly keeps twisting well after Claypool was down and out of bounds

Look what Lincoln Riley is doing with Hurts. Riley has any QB putting up video game numbers while Kelly's implode after one season.

I guess Jerry Jones is all in on Riley if Garrett doesn't get past the Divisional round again this season. I can't blame him.

Not sure what this really means. I saw, in this thread, posters blaming everything from Book to the secondary, to the pass rush. It was silly. It was a game plan that forced certain types of action, and players making plays that they had not until this week.

Then we adjusted. Just to late for some fans.

Big 12 football is basketball on grass man.

I could coach Hurts to being a big league producer. Book might be a Heisman candidate playing those teams.
