Like UM last year, I think all preparation this summer has led to getting ready for the Dawgs. I think we’ve gone very basic on both offense and defense. I actually like what I’ve seen from both White and Bauer at the linebacker position. Both are stout and like to deliver some impact. I’m hoping that UGAs pro style offense will match up with what they do well. It’s a pain in the ass with our pass rushers, but UL and New Mexico looked to get the ball out quick. We also haven’t dialed up any real blitz packages.
On offense, we definitely need to see some better routes. We had some success with crossing routes today. I’d love to see more combo routes as well.
In no way do I think this will be easy next week, but I’m definitely not conceding a defeat. We have the ability to win this game if we can generate some sort of running attack. We shall see.
