lots to like here for sure and it's easy to imagine this team finishing 10-2 but also it's easy to imagine that not being enough for the playoffs without a good win.

I understand why people are mad, but Arkansas and Southern Cal are the only real red flag games. Barring injuries, 8 wins is the floor. Which would absolutely be a disappointing season.

Ash was a bad hire. As much as the offense struggled at times they consistently scored points enough to win the game. Defense struggled mightily and made Reed look like P. Manning.

Some of the sky is falling is a bit overboard. They've lost by a combined 4 points to two teams that will be in the Top 10. It sucks because they were both winnable games. But there are at most 2 more close games on the schedule.

The difference between their WRs and ours was huuuge. In my time supporting ND we havent had anything like that level of WRs.
The o-line looked better in the passing game.
Carr looks good still.
The defense is ordinary. I blame Al Golden for leaving.
The big thing is the WRs though. They aren't very good at all for the 10th year in a row. Carr want to throw it deep and he cannot.
