Our offense moved the ball? Again we could run the ball up the middle at will on them, but couldn't because of our defense.

No idea how this is Rees' fault though. Yes he tried forcing some passes but he wasn't letting Gardner run all over him on a 3rd and 8. Didn't let Gallon almost have 200 yards receiving. ILB NEED to get faster...tackling NEEDS to get better..this game was more frustrating than the national title because at least Alabama has dominated college football for years. This team has so much to improve I almost wish they scheduled two-three FCS teams but oh well....so much for 10-2. Hoping for 8-4 at best now...this defense just got extra exposed to a national audience..again.

Fortunately this is probably the best offense we will face all season. The d really needs to clean it up. Gave up way to many big plays. Also on the upside USC, Oaklahoma, Michigan State and Purude all look terrible! Haha

We will see, probably not the best night to keep commenting. Everybody was bad tonight--with the exceptions at first look with TJ, Hercules, Amir, Jaylon is a true freshman, Zach Martin held his side down.

Go Irish we all love them no matter what, but we do have the right to vent.

I admit I have been imbibing, and that I am also inclined to believe that coincidence is a concept designed for the propagandized mind. But at some point I would like to hear some intelligent thoughts on how the line moved the way it did pre-game and those two pass interference calls on ****Michigan's last drive. Those were two of the worst calls I have seen in a while and they were made by ACC officials. Why am I supposed to believe that the powers that be, that dislike Notre Dame, are advocating for cheaters like Miami, line steppers like Alabama, and those obviously trying to tear down amateur athletics like J. Manziel, who finally get us on THEIR network, are above tipping the scales on a call or two on a critical drive. These guys will sabotage the Miami investigation but not talk to an official or two? I have been watching for a long time, but I believe the game has been compromised. I am not saying we played great, but there is no excuse for the calls on BJ and MF.

First call was bad second was fair. Eve. The worst was far from worst call Ive seem today much less in a while. There is no conspiracy. We lost b our D sucks.

They don't have anyone even as close to being as good as Gallon. So personally I'm not sure what you are basing this on. QB's is a wash along with tight ends and othe receivers. Nott to concerned about the Stanford running game. ND's d has been solid upfront against the run.

Texas has been "embarrassed" quite a bit lately. Watched some o that game and BYU just ran over them. Don't think that happens with ND because they've been solid against the run for the most part.

Its going to take time for the defense to gel.Lost some key players from last year and only experience will solve the problem.Same issue with the offense.Tommy won some key games last year,but DC's now know how to attack him.

If a bcs game is to be a reality, someone is going to have to gut check the defense and step up. Long term, it will be Jaylon, but if a two games of experience freshman has to lead a defense that only lost three starters from an undefeated season, we're in trouble...

Because of the defenses inability to make stops we had to try to keep up with the fast pace scoring if the score was tied or we where ahead 3 then would could just pound the middle and burn the clock. But bc of the poor defense we where playing catch up the whole night.

Lets face it, any realistic shot at going to the NC just went up in smoke. Our schedule isn't strong enough to allow a 1 loss team to make the NC. Out best hope is to run the table and finish in the top 10 and get a BCS Bowl, however even that would seem like a long shot after getting tortured watching our D tonight.
