The whole "X team is beating Y team and we almost lost to X team, so it's obvious we will lose to A, B and C teams" is beyond silly.

If that was even a remotely rational way of predicting success, then we wouldn't have better than 6-6 any of the last three years.

Why don't we just play the games first, shall we?

But it's about body of work. MSU, Michigan, and Purdue all have looked like crap this season against all of their other opponents save Youngstown State and Eastern Michigan. All of them played ND tough and in Michigan's case really handled/exposed ND on many levels. There is no reason for optimism save complete blindness to everything else transpiring in college football. The status quo is not good enough to beat good teams.

If there aren't drastic changes or improvement for this game it could get ugly. And same applies to most other games remaining on our schedule. Got to hope the coaches have figured stuff out.

Today Tuitt, Nix and Shembo come to life! Belldouscher fumbles and throws 2 int's under heat. We find a way to win again.

If you want to talk about body of work we're also 15-2 in our last 17 games. So there's that.

This is kind of it.

We need a massive game from our line, I know we're capable of it.

Sheldon being back could be huge. If Tuitt can have the kind of day we've been waiting for, this can be ours.

I think ND has the talent to beat Oaklahoma. They just need to execute on both sides of the ball throughout an entire game. That's something this team has not done all season. That's what NIU is doing and that's why they are blowing Purdue out. Anyhow, go Irish!

I am actually optimistic about this game. I have rational basis for that though.

We have more talent then most of the teams on our schedule. Getting that to show up on the field is the problem. Who's fault is that well we all have our own opinions.

That's disappointing. I guess it was to be expected, but disappointing nonetheless.

It's going to be a black out for this guy if our defense doesn't play better.

Although everything/everyone seems to point to OK though, which makes me think ND wins this one. That's CFB for you.

Away fans always go into the stadium early to check out pregame traditions.

Here's the Reggie Brooks run:

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X6j_GnIb2pY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I watched that one. It's not the one I'm thinking of. Hell I could be making this memory up form my childhood for all I know. Not sure the player even got knocked out. IIRC he got hit and stumble some yards (like 10+) into the endzone. It may have been late 80s-early 90s. Figured I'd take a stab at it with all the knowledge on this board.
