Has this not been talked about?

Kirby Smart has little to no program control, with the dozens of DUIs and traffic violations his team racks up. But now, to no surprise to anyone, he’s caught lying on tv.

Fuck him.

He was trying to tell the refs that Auburn players were clapping and there should be a defensive delay of game. At least that’s how I saw people explaining this on Twitter

Then why did they give him the timeout back?

You know it’s bad when you make Hugh Freeze seem like the upstanding, sympathetic coach in that matchup.

Right after the ref calls the time out, it looks like Kirby says, "stop, stop, they are clapping".

Is calling timeout a verbal or physical request? Or are they both valid and a mix up is possible.

He may be telling the truth, but that is a timeout signal. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with his intentions, but I think the refs did the wrong this by not going with his hand symbols while frantically running to the ref. Coaches do it every game. I am curious how much the coach talks to the ref about this stuff pregame.

Vandy favored over #10 LSU? Gee, I'm real excited for all their success, but favored? Really?

The SEC is wide open. Actually gonna be fun watching how it all plays out the 2nd half of the season. They may go another year without winning it all but the league as a whole is more fun. I have no idea how the top 4 will end up.

A&M winning wouldn’t be the worst thing for us. Looks like they could do it, but we shall see. I do hope they pummel Texas.

Man until one of these teams does it, I’m just gonna assume UGA wins it again. Probably 2-0 on some bullshit safety in the SECCG.

I heard this morning that it was the first time Vanderbilt has been favored over LSU since 1948.

Something to chew on:

-Nussmeier, injured or not, has objectively been bad or average-at-best this season. He's made a lot of poor decisions and turnovers that you wouldn't expect from a 5th year player.
-Compounding on that, we have an abysmal offensive line and the worst rushing offense in the SEC. That, certainly, doesn't make things easier.

Our defense is still elite and good enough to keep us in 9/10 games. Should we win? I believe so...we have more talent. Would it shock me if we were to lose - certainly not.

Not that they are infallible, but Vegas has Vanderbilt favored for a reason.

LSU sucks. They are pretty much Iowa.

I have said for weeks the three most overrated teams in America are LSU, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. Would love to see any of those in the playoffs.

Watched some of Bama yesterday and they have a bunch of Mater Dei kids. They used to be exclusive to USC. How was Bama able to break down those walls and ND can't?

Dominating college football for the better part of two decades comes with benefits.

Also just speculating here but SEC schools seem to offer the trad college town experience with high end football. Couldn't be more different from USC or the California schools in general.

Social media memes seem to suggest SEC schools have made a killing by importing students from places that dont offer that experience. Lots of NJ, NY, etc kids going south for college. At least thats what im seeing online and friends/family down south have said thats been their observation too

SEC recruits hard for normal students around north Indy. Auburn, Bama, and Ole Miss most notably. Rush girl videos are effective. You don’t see Nebraska or Iowa.

Sadly, I honestly agree with you...staring down the barrel of A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, and Oklahoma will be humbling. The defense is pretty stout, but the offensive line is so bad that it's like driving a car with 4 flat tires. They're so poor at run blocking that we, obviously, can't run the ball. Nussmeier isn't a runner, which allows teams to tee-off on him. He's constantly getting beat in every game. They're so poor at pass blocking that it doesn't allow our WRs to finish their routes. Any movement offensively is due to tremendous individual effort on our WRs. This is looking like 5 or 6 loss team.

Also, prior to the Georgia game, I completely agreed with you in regard to Ole Miss. Last year was their year, they year they went "all in" on their defense and roster. I thought they'd get wrecked in Athens, but they surprised me with how well they played and battled.

OU, also, isn't that good. They're sitting at 6-1, but let's see how it plays out with Ole Miss, Mizzou, Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU. I see a few losses there.

Bama’s out of state enrollment started topping in state enrollment a few years back. They appear in actively recruit students on the upper end academically. Where they come from isn’t really a factor but I don’t really know. Maybe they recruit certain areas harder than others.

I don’t believe A&M is as good as advertised. Their QB is average at best. Oklahoma has a good enough defense but their offense can be shut down. LSU is… well LSU. All the talent but subpar coaching. Ole Miss can beat any team in the country but lose to half of them as well any given weekend.
