Whoa. That's some modern day hunt for red october stuff there.
The bigger thing is terrain. Russia has to defend the whole Finnish border and cooperation with Sweden makes the Baltic a NATO lake. The Finns also have a mobilization system similar to Israel and can theoretically call up 900k reserves if they really have to. Both countries have high quality air forces as well. The North Dakota national guard could bury them in a day. Let's be honest.
Poland is a paper tiger. I deal with Poles. Sad and sorry people
While the Finns aren't quite as badass as the Israelis, they're not your average force, either. They don't play. They are not to be taken lightly. The bigger thing is terrain. For anyone questioning this, look up the Winter War. Long story short, the Finns killed so many Russians their soldiers got PTSD from seeing how many dead bodies were stacked below them. While the Finns aren't quite as badass as the Israelis, they're not your average force, either. Yep, targeting civilians as usualRussia used an ICBM (without nuclear weapons aboard) last night.
I don't think it targeted anything.Yep, targeting civilians as usual
I believe the theory is the Russians used the regional equivalent to an ICBM. A distinction without a substantive difference.View attachment 3057017
Just for clarity’s sake western officials are now saying it wasn’t an ICBM. With nuke payload that would have been the start of full go war.
True. Does make you wonder about our missile stocks. Some are very old. I'm sure they are fine. Anyone know how often we fire one off just to make sure things are still working?Yeah it would be kind of weird to us an ICBM on a 300 mile target.
BREAKING: Putin began an emergency address to the Russian people regarding the use of long-range weapons on Russian territory
First statements:
- The conflict has acquired elements of a global character. Russian military facilities in the Bryansk and Kursk regions were struck by Western missiles. On November 19, 6 ATACMS missiles and on November 21 Storm Shadow missiles struck facilities in Kursk and Bryansk regions.
- Russia struck Yuzhmash with a nuclear-free hypersonic ballistic missile. Ukraine was struck by the newest ballistic hypersonic missile "Oreshnik".

Maybe organizing coups in former Soviet Republics isn't a recipe for peaceFunny it wouldn't be a war if he just left Ukraine

Ukraine... Not "The" UkraineI defend not sticking our nose where it doesn't belong.
The Ukraine means more to Russia than it ever will to Americans.
My mom's side came here from the Ukraine. None of them have a strong opinion on it. It's a place on a map very far away. The tribe is called "Germans from Russia."
To me, this seems akin to Russia helping weirdos take over Canada and then getting mad when we roll tanks into Ottowa.
I don't followUkraine... Not "The" Ukraine
The country is called Ukraine. It is not called The Ukraine.I don't follow
My mom's side came from the Ukraine. It was not a country at the time. Take it up with my long since passed ancestors. The country is called Ukraine. It is not called The Ukraine.
My family is in the same boat. Didn't even realize we've always said our family is from the Ukraine or just Eastern Europe until right now.My mom's side came from the Ukraine. It was not a country at the time. Take it up with my long since passed ancestors.
FIFY.My mom's side came from Ukraine. It was not a country at the time. Take it up with my long since passed ancestors.
