He has the right, but he should be calling out the Provost, not ND. If you want to be constructive, get on the phone with the University's highest academic officer, not on Twitter. Shameful on his part.

You would think that the alumni would be constructive and get on the phone with the Provost, Jenkins, and the BOT or walk into their offices to voice their concern about due process.

The alumni don't have standing in a student hearing but they do have a voice in the University's future operation.

Do you know any that have voiced their concern to The Administration as opposed to posting on a fans website?

This. I'm a nobody as a non-alumni and I'm the only one with balls to call both the Dean's office and the General Councel?

Time for some alumni and current students to step up to the plate.

They really don't seem interested in doing that(Most are just message board venting). Ndnation which has a ton of Alumni aren't doing a thing as far as I can tell (Maybe if this was about a Jumbotron cheating investigation). Who am I to judge? May do no good anyway.

Seems that way, although who knows. Hopefully they're making noise behind the scenes. But if the current students were helping at all, we'd have known by now.

Not saying this is your stance, but that's a terrible attitude. I knew my call meant absolutely nothing but I still called both offices.

If alumni and students stepped up, it could matter. Maybe not, but sitting on your hands and you're playing right into the admin's game.

I'm a non-alum so I think my voice holds little to no weight. It will be a just a fanatic calling(in their minds) and easy to ignore. Now if an Alumnus decided to call at least they have skin in the game(Student loan, lol). Not saying Sub-way alums aren't important to ND because they are but they don't have much say on they daily operations of ND.

If I spent over $100,000 in tuition to go to their University, they'd be hearing from me everyday until they explained what the hell is delaying the process.

Anyone: Hello, I'd like to lodge a formal complaint with the Provost's office about the embarrassing manner in which this investigation of student-athletes has been handled.

Provost's Office: OK. Are you a graduate of Notre Dame?

Anyone: Yes. Yes I am. And let me tell you another thing..........

Who could we hire when Kelly leaves at the end of this season? Like seriously who would possibly come here who could we get that would be able I keep us I the level we are at. I don't think that there's any chance after all this bullshit that Kelly will stay if the nfl comes calling....and they will call.

If Tom Mendoza can't get answers, nobody is getting answers.

Pretty much.. It will just make some receptionist job a bit harder.

That's not entirely my point. I don't expect them to hand over an explanation/speed up the process for the first caller.

But if their phone/email lines get hammered by alumnis and their student center is filled with students wanting answers, who knows?

Maybe they decide fucking over the football team isn't worth the harassment and hold the hearings sooner like they plan.

See, THAT'S the kind of shit that's going to be effective in negative recruiting against us. That tweet is irresponsible. When Urban spins some crap about how "Notre Dame doesn't care about their student athletes," it'll come off as sour grapes negative coachspin. When he can copy and paste a tweet from a kid's famous father, that's a tad more of a problem.

Lol.

Rip on me and neg rep me all you want, but if you're an alumni (or at least feel comfortable saying you are), this phone/email deserves to get hammered repeatably. If the sole outcome is inconvenience for them, so be it:

Agree. I understand PD needing to stand up for his son, but that tweet isn't the right way to go.

I doubt that all that many people across the country know who Davaris Daniels is, let alone who his dad is.

I am tired of people defending ND on this.

I just talked to an ND grad who has given his fair share back. He is a distinguished professor at another institution.

I asked him what he thought.

He said what people forget is that there are still enough of Monk's men in place to screw this whole thing up just like it appears.

He hopes that there are law suits filed over this thing.

He believes that this is going to open some peoples eyes :

- to the fact that there are students, instructors, and admin that hate football;

- and to the fact that these people are allowed to, and are in fact doing damage to the school as a whole.

I asked him to withhold his contribution this year. He said they would say no big deal. I said not so if you called all your alum friends.

He openly wondered what Tom Mendoza was doing about this whole thing.

Does Urban Meyer? Or Brady Hoke? And Nick Saban? Don't you think that tweet right there can be used against ND in recruiting? That's a fairly damning tweet. UND hasn't adequately taken care of his son?
