I'm not sure how this will play out. But I think they wouldn't make an announcement until game week anyway. There is nothing on in the sports world and ND would get a ton of coverage either way. In effect, they were in a no-win situation. (See Lax's posts on how they botched it from the beginning)

True however, it happened fast and furiously and was over just like that. Not to mention, the season was over and Manti was beginning his trek to the NFL.
This has been a slow, rough, and painful process. Like a car wreck in slow motion with no end in sight. It has does have an effect on this upcoming season although I am in the minority on how great of an effect (I think minimal).

I think he's referring to The Observers tweet in he middle of the night saying they met with the council yesterday to determine their fate. I'm not sure how to screenshot or embed tweets.

This actually happened? Anyone know what the observer is/credibility?
Seems like that tweet was in reference to the decision of the players to sing the alma mater after every game rather than in reference to the "suspended" players.

Not sure if there will be news about the players. Kelly has a presser each game week on Tuesday. So whether the players were suspended or not, Kelly would be talking today. I hope there will be something, though. This can't go on much longer. I'd rather know and be done with it.

Yes, it is the scheduled pregame show. Coaches at ND don't hold PC's for issues that are The Aministration's. But they do issue a Two Deep Chart, as well as, briefly discussing status of individuals being available or not.
Russell, FOR EXAMPLE, on the Two Deep would be news ... Cleared to play. Russell NOT on the Two Deeps is news .. Status Unchanged as of PC.
