It was really well done, but I'm pretty sure that was a work. Over the years, we used kids planted in the audience to draw heat a bunch of times. It's usually the child of one of the wrestlers or the kid of someone running the organization.

The kid did a great job, though. That wasn't a "miss" punch; he took a little contact.

Whew, 30 pages made my head hurt. Or was it the 'shine? No matter. Sounds like the university is handling this in a manner I would expect, that's a big reason I'm a fan. Hate it for the guys if true but actions have consequences.

This may hurt some, but not as much as in past years. Hope to see some of you guys at the Rice game!

Thanks for posting! We basically know very little except that ND is taking this very seriously. I do agree that if true (I'm not even sure what) there should be some consequences to those involved but they need to be within reason. Vacating wins for actions the program was not aware of seems absolutely ridiculous to me. I would also hope that if individuals are found to be guilty that they be given the opportunity to come back if the crime is not outrageous.

To be honest, this is one of the most fucked days I've ever experienced as a Notre dame football fan. I am only 23, so I wasn't really cognizant of the whole Kim Dunbar thing. I do a job where I do two 3 hour appointments daily, so I was literally refreshing ISD and IE the whole time during the second appointment. Notre dame football is one of those things that I hold in such high esteem, that I would be absolutely crushed if there were any severe NCAA violations. To me, Notre Dame football is supposed to be one of those entities in life that is RELATIVELY pure. I know that athletes in big league sports get preferential treatment (as a Xavier alum, I've personally seen some of the shit our basketball players get away with), but Notre Dame is supposed to be that shining beacon that I can look at those SEC fans and say "Fuck you, I know we do right". I'm just happy that it doesn't seem the NCAA will be involved. This day has been so weird. I don't know. My faith has been shaken a bit. I just venting for my own mental health.
