So...just two weeks and almost 4.5 hours since OP, and what exactly have we settled with 3720 posts?

Well let's see.......
1. Koon still loves GB.
2. JimmyMac's naked lap through a bar revealed three suspended players being are out getting poop faced every night.
3. If wins are vacated several on this site are going to (fill in the blank).
4. I know where Koon works, no one else does.
5. The players will will be reinstated in the next few days.
6. The players won't be reinstated until the committee meets.
7. The committee can't meet soon enough.
8. Koon can't understand why the committee wouldn't bring back the students early to vote.
9. They wanted to be thorough, so they went all the way back to check Rockne's emails to see if he was aware of this (lack of institutional control).
10. Your opinion is correct only of you agree with certain people.
11. Cali_Domer is patting himself on the back.
12. IrishLion is about to use his mod powers because everyone is using PM's keeping newby EvilleIrish out of the loop.

If this thread doesn't win Thread of the Year then the system is rigged and life as I know it is a lie.

I know where Koon works too. Therefore the rest of your list might also be lies.

I kind of know where he works, but not for sure. I may be wrong. I may be right.

I have no sweeping declaration to make based on this information.

Thanks for answering my question.

You're welcome

C'mon man, think about it... They aren't going to take away a degree someone earned. Have you ever heard of that happening ever, anywhere?

I'm not sure it would even be legal.

I can't say that I have, but then again, it isn't something that I'm well versed in, which is why I asked the question.

I wondered about the implications of cheating according to DuLac, and if that throws into question the validity of earning a class grade (impacting a degree).

I wondered. I didn't say I assumed it to be true.

I suppose you never know, but it just seems unlikely to me.

I was all hopped up on Mt Dew when I posted before, probably too strong of a response to a simple question. I just doubt they would revoke their degree.

What?????

No.

Universities can and have revoked degrees. It's pretty rare but it does happen, the most common instance of revocation being when a doctoral dissertation is found to have been plagiarized. Universities have been sued by former students whose degrees have been revoked (e.g. a Wayne State Ph.D. student and an Ohio U. Ph.D. student) but courts have upheld the rights of schools to revoke degrees as long as the degree holder has adequate opportunity to present his or her case.

Now whether and how any of this applies to Moore, I can't say; that said, except that plagiarism on a doctoral dissertation is probably seen as more serious than plagiarism on a paper for a undergraduate class, I don't see any reason why a school would be prohibited from revoking a degree in the latter circumstance.

No worries. I truly didn't want to come off as spreading negativity concerning Kendall Moore's situation, just had a thought about the possible implications.

I agree with you. It seems like it would be too harsh of a response even if he is proven guilty of cheating.... then again, that's assuming that the extent of the offense is "minor".

I can't wait for this shit to end.

Generally speaking, institutions have authority to revoke improperly awarded degrees if good cause exists - basically fraud or deceit.

didn't see the answer already posted.

MSU could be done after seeing that nasty hit on Cook

Knees are not supposed to bend that way. Looked ugly, but he is up and walking around on the sideline. Could be a hyperextension. MSU D looks nasty ... albeit against Jacksonville State.

Right? Damn near put it in the 'quick hits' thread, lol.

Anyone wanna speculate while we watch, hoping Jacksonville st. pulls the upset over MSU? To the live chat!

Jax State losing Bill Clark to UAB probably hurt them somewhat. They won't beat MSU, but if Clark was still there, they would have come to play for sure.
