Just saw this one. Bob from Sesame Street passed away yesterday. He was 90. He was still working on Sesame Street up until 6 years ago, but he did contribute to a documentary last year and a 50th anniversary back in 2019. The guy worked the same job from the time he was 37 till he was 87. He was let go from the regular show along with 2 other original cast members when they made the move from PBS to HBO.

I remember watching Cheers a bit growing up, but I only remembered the blond actress that played Ted Danson's love interest. My first exposure to Kirstie was in Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan I think. It's been awhile but it felt like they were pushing her as some kind of hot replacement for Spock. Wonder why that died on the vine? The only other thing I remember her doing was that Amish movie. Cancer is a bitch. RIP.
[Edit] Richer or Poorer with Tim Allen.
Kristie replaced Shelly Long. Kristie's character was the opposite of Shelly's. Shelly accepted Danson's romantic advances. Kristie would always rebuff him.

She was definitely seen as a bit stronger/tougher when she arrived.

Leach did not play college football and got a JD from Pepperdine a school without a football program. Not the typical journey for a college football coach and definitely not the typical personality.
RIP Coach Leach

RIP Pirate!! He’ll be missed. Google/YouTube him and you’ll see some awesome interviews! He was one unique individual and an offensive innovator.

His first head coaching job was with the Pori Bears.

A football team in Finland. Atypical and Mike Leach go hand in hand.

I am definitely going to miss hearing about his players' fat little girlfriends in his postgame conferences. He was a great personality.

It's crazy to see all these Mike Leach stories coming out of the woodwork. Just cool anecdotes of what the coach was like, he was every bit the eccentric lovable mad scientist he showed himself to be in interviews. I saw a story where he was in a car or something on a recruiting trip and he was talking with someone for over an hour. He got disconnected, then called the guy back and talked for another half an hour. When he got done the passenger he was in the car with asked "Who was that?" "Dunno, it was a wrong number." Crazy. There's the story of the fake playsheet when Oklahoma played Texas. He had a great model for an expanded Playoff before we even started doing a Playoff. His PAC-12 mascot fight ranking is legendary too.
