Tragic. I’m almost afraid to ask: was it suicide?Way way way too young. RIP Sam.

RIP Takeoff-
It's so ridiculous right now
Saw that on ESPN at the gym. Other than Brett Favre, he is the only other player from Southern Miss that I can name who is in the Pro Football HOF.NFL legend and HOF member Ray Guy has passed away at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness. Guy was the first pure punter drafted in the 1st round and the only one selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He was crazy. Had that big wooden mallet he called the “Sledge-O-Matic,”and let it rip. Everyone in the first several rows always wore trash bags, raincoats and goggles so they wouldn't get soaked. RIP Gallagher, you were an original.Comedian Gallagher passed away this morning at the age of 76. Best known for smashing watermelons and other fruit with a large wooden mallet, he had a unique, rapid fire, stream of consciousness approach to standup. I saw him in concert once around 1986. Apparently he'd had several heart attacks over the past decade or so and was in very poor health, having retired in 2013.
I remember watching his specials on Comedy Central in the 90s. Great stuff, lots of prop humor but funnier than a guy like Carrot Top. He had some great non-prop comedy too though.Comedian Gallagher passed away this morning at the age of 76. He was the last of the original cast left.Actor Robert Clary, best known for playing Corporal LeBeau on Hogan's Heroes, died yesterday at the age of 96. Clary, who was Jewish, was actually imprisoned in Buchenwald concentration camp during WWII for more than two years, before finally being liberated at the end of the war.
He had so many stats on the back of his card, you had to have a magnifying glass to see the tiny print.RIP Gaylord Perry. Dies at 88
She was also in a bunch of ZZ Top videos it sounds like, one of which was "Legs."Kymberly Herrin, Playboy playmate and Ghostbusters actress, dies at 65
I remember watching Cheers a bit growing up, but I only remembered the blond actress that played Ted Danson's love interest. My first exposure to Kirstie was in Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan I think. It's been awhile but it felt like they were pushing her as some kind of hot replacement for Spock. Wonder why that died on the vine? The only other thing I remember her doing was that Amish movie. Cancer is a bitch. RIP.Kirstie Alley dead at age 71 after short battle with cancer.
