The tox report will be interesting. If that story is true from that friend of the family. Shooting atleast 6 times from 35 feet away, twice in the head is a little odd. Now I am no expert on guns, and ranges or where one shoots exactly when someone is running towards you from 35feet away, but I'm thinking a leg shot might have done it.

You aim dead center mass, and that is the ONLY place you aim. But the adrenaline is pulsing through your body, so you don't always hit where you aim. The two shots to the head most likely came as the kid was falling forward (or charging forward, depending on which story you think is most accurate) and the officer was just emptying his magazine. In other words, I don't think the guy consciously shot the kid in the face or the top of the head, nor do I think he aimed at either of those points. I think it is more likely that those points on his body fell through the point where the officer WAS aiming.

Most of that isn't from residents of Ferguson. Most of the people that have been arrested are not from Ferguson.

Who the hell cares what zip code a particular rioter is from? The point is, he's a rioter. Also, I'd bet the farm that the VAST majority are at least from the immediate area. Street arsonists don't strike me as a group of people with particularly large travel budgets.

Well you said the people of Ferguson, and most of them aren't the people of Ferguson. They are from East STL or other places in St Louis County. You can tell because they don't care about the community and are only looking to cause trouble.

Shooting for a leg increases the chance of someone getting hit behind the target or just missing. You aim at the point that's most likely to not hurt someone else.

Plain and simple, you shoot to kill. You don't shoot to injure, that's Hollywood. Just like last year when people thought we were supposed to shoot the tires out, doesn't work that way. Which is also why you DON'T EVER POINT YOUR WEAPON AT ANYTHING UNLESS YOU INTEND TO SHOOT.

The guy was yelling at the cops to kill him... to shoot him. Raised his knife over head from 3-4 ft away. Legit shooting.

The annoying this is that as soon as this new got out, all a lot of people heard was "cop shot black man". Within minutes, there were protesters at the scene of the crime chanting "Hands up, don't shoot" and yelling at the Police Chief. It's absurd how these people seem to 100% disregard the facts and jump to cop killing. People cry out that racism is rampant. I don't disagree, but it certainly comes from both directions. Just because you were oppressed for years doesn't make you immune from being racist.
