They are quite literally making a business decision. They see the way the winds are going and it does not make sense for them to continue to sell that merch. Isn't the trope that liberals are a bunch of sissy's because they want these types of changes, but people claiming they wont watch the NFL because of a name charge are the true fans/tough guys?

First off i never mentioned liberals. Second off they aren't aren't removing the Indians, braves, or Seminoles. Their items are made mostly in China and i am pretty sure they have the kids working in the factories again. I guess that's not an issue since they are made here in the USA?

You know you are allowed to have a different opinion and not throw a fit till you get your way. Example the Tampa Bay Rays it was the Devil rays and people didn't like that. Who cares that people don't like it tell them not to watch.

The generation we are in if someone doesn't get their way they get offended and throw a fit about it.

I'm also 6% Native American and think you should change the name of your country to West England or something less demeaning to Native Americans being that Canada is a bastardized spelling of an Iroquoian word for settlement. Not today, but it could be in 15 years. It might be best to move away from the topic altogether. As far as I know, it’s not the Indians who are upset about the name. It would probably be best to name it after a specific tribe, but I don’t think the DC area had a prominent tribe like the Lenape or Iroquois, more so smaller little known tribes.

I disagree with most of those (in terms of native mascots). Redskins can be seen as derogatory, however, Blackhawk, Seminoles (FSU), Fighting Siouix (North Dakota) are just tribes of Indians. Perhaps the brass of the team get with the remaining members of the tribe and have conversations. My Step Father was a superintendent of a school that was "The Chiefs", but (a long time ago), talked to the family of the tribe in the area and they said its as an honor they had that as the mascot. The Braves have a tomahawk as part of their logo, the Indians are just that, Indians, both not derogatory like Redskins is. I doubt we see any other name change outside of Redskins. However, it wouldn't surprise me if I was wrong. It tends to happen often.

Oh I agree with you. I’m simply stating that the “slippery slope” exists and these names will be changed soon as well. I’ll admit some of it is done “tongue in cheek”

Remember when they said they only wanted to remove “Confederate” monuments. They’d never go after statues of Jesus Christ or founding fathers or Mt Rushmore or Frederick Douglass. But they did.

I have been a redskins fan since i have been old enough to understand football. This name thing has been a complete joke. But no need to argue the name redskins because that's long gone. The commanders is a terrible name, the uniforms are terrible and if that terrible looking robot/outer space looking thing is the masoct then they dropped the ball. It sounds like they're really pushing for the RFK site in DC, but that it's tricky with it being federal land. If not, the VA site has always been rumored to be in Loudon County. Don't care too much if I won't be going to games! haha
