I think a lot of people don't understand exactly how old school and competitive he is. I am not surprised at all how cut throat he may or may not be.
I appreciate him being old school but give the transfer his shitty ass practice tape from the prior regime.I think a lot of people don't understand exactly how old school and competitive he is. I am not surprised at all how cut throat he may or may not be.
What possible competitive advantage does he gain by not letting the kid have practice tape? It would be last year's systems. And a guy who gets cut from Colorado probably isn't transferring anywhere in the Pac-12. It's just a low-class move from a guy who has all the power in this relationship.I think a lot of people don't understand exactly how old school and competitive he is. If you are crazy train competitive and extremely cut throat. Why waste your time or your staffs time? Dig a tape up for a kid who you essentially don't know, didn't recruit and don't want. What possible competitive advantage does he gain by not letting the kid have practice tape? Maybe he could ask one of the 14 videographers he employs to follow him around all day to do it.If you are crazy train competitive and extremely cut throat. Why waste your time or your staffs time? Dig a tape up for a kid who you essentially don't know, didn't recruit and don't want.
I'm not justifying it. Just throwing my thoughts out there. He was coached by Bobby Bowden, George Seifert and Barry Switzer, He is arguably (not really though, I think he is) the best Defensive back ever. There should be ZERO expectation that he is going to be a 'nice' guy in anyway shape or form. Hell, his first team meeting was essentially him telling everyone to pack their shit and get out lol

He'll pick up an old cow in the portal though and using NIL as a lure! The exodus is getting so bad in Boulder I heard even Ralphie just entered the portal.
I actually think this is what he wants. He's made it pretty clear that he is looking for a particular type of guy. There will obviously be outliers but all in all he wants the smoke, in my opinion.I hope other schools trash them in the recruiting world and I hope the players keep speaking out.

The portal is absolutely SUCKS
I've heard this used a few time recently referring to him. Sabans old school. Old school implies there's some well organized/intended approach here. Deion's just a self entitled asshole with inconsistent messaging. He's an arrogant prick and I hope he gets fired and fades from college football as soon as possible.I think a lot of people don't understand exactly how old school and competitive he is. I'm not a huge fan of the way it is structured right now because there is no structure. The portal is absolutely nuts.
I'm curious to see how good of a 'coach' he is. I think he is a hell of a motivator and a great businessman. My biggest red flag is he seems to be a PLAYER with a head set.I've heard this used a few time recently referring to him. Sabans old school. You hit the nail on the head……similar to the show biz mantra. He has a thread on an ND board that has hit page 11 in about 6 months since the thread started.
If nothing else, this is the desired outcome. People talking about him, CU Football, be it good or bad. From the very beginning he was playing around in a space where he didn't really fit in like the rest of the people in his profession. Saban accused him of some things when he was at JSU. He was getting recruits to JSU he had zero business signing.
He's a lightning rod. He will more than likely leave CU Football better than he found it, and if he doesn't, it will be an epic failure for many to enjoy out in the open. If he does crash and burn, Deion will say it was God's will. Everyone is a winner.
Do you think the eventual 60 minutes piece will be more about Deion, or about how he knew he reached the next level when his IE page went over 300 posts? He has a thread on an ND board that has hit page 11 in about 6 months since the thread started.

Depends on the criteria. Green was outstanding as was Revis. Sanders had a reputation for big plays but also for not liking to tackle. If you are crazy train competitive and extremely cut throat. I’d also throw out Champ Bailey, Rod Woodson, Ronnie Lott, and Paul Krause. Lots of great DBs out thereDepends on the criteria. Green was outstanding as was Revis. Sanders had a reputation for big plays but also for not liking to tackle.

He already had a 60 Minutes piece. The producers of the show would look around this board and think to themselves, "Who is this Dante Moore kid and how did this Reese guy manage to blow it all so bad?"Do you think the eventual 60 minutes piece will be more about Deion, or about how he knew he reached the next level when his IE page went over 300 posts?
