Great win...always nice to win compared to last year. We do this next week then we may be over the hump. Not too familiar with georiga but we gotta play better D to compete with an SEC team. Either way much better way to start off the year. First ND game I've been able to watch from home since 2014! Much better than watching it at an inmates cell! Lol

Been there done that and it's sucks but you got do what u got to do. I use a radio to listen to the game between lines running then catch highlights on there tv.

Yoon missing two wasn't very encouraging!
Other than that, work in progress. Some good some bad from Brandon. Can he make it a full year taking that many shots per game?!
Was surprised we went to the right side on two short yardage runs(one being 4th down we didn't get).
Agree we need someone else to emerge as wr threat, you can bet GA and everyone else is going to load up against the run.
I counted 3 missed tackles by Martini - just ones that stuck out.
I agree w/ Acamp, it's amazing watching the difference in defensive speed and precision these bama and Fsu players play with. Of course I guess it's why they are #1 and 3 respectively.

I have no clue why Tony Jones would get a single rep over Dexter. FEED JUICE

Other reactions:
-Alize underwhelming
-ESB usual self
-D Hayes, and D Line in general surprisingly good.
-Nyles meh, but OLB's played well
-Secondary mixed bag but overall solid

Saved me from having to write.. Exact thoughts

Obviously watching on TV I couldn't see every play, but seemed Nick Watkins was lock down today.

I can't say I watched Watkins ever play but I watched him often and he was great. I hope he can keep it up and stay healthy.

Those 6 points may be important in other games....

only difference today - 55-16 has a better ring than 49-16 :swordfigh

Hard to believe that the previous most came last year

Jarron Jones had like 1,000 on his own in that one.

* Wimbush has superstar potential if he can develop. Accuracy needs work. I'd like to see him take less hits. Overall, a solid game.

* Running backs are good. Dexter Williams needs more touches.

* Other than ESB, no receivers really stood out today.

* Good to see Nick Weishar finally get involved and get some targets.

* The left side of the OL is insanely good.

* Defense looked much improved, especially in the second half after adjustments were made.

* Daelin Hayes could be that elite pass rusher we've been missing for years. What a freak.

Was v impressed with Hayes and Hayes, and Tillery for that matter. Also nice to see the true freshmen on the line getting some time at the end. If we stay healthy our defensive front will be OK.
Agree on Coney needing more reps, and on Dexter Williams bringing more to the table than Tony Jones. We'll need more out of Alize Mack, too, especially if Durham Smythe has a concussion issue (he's had before, right?).
Wimbush needs to run a little less. He's not big enough to take all those hits.
Overall, it's hard to know how good Temple is right now, so hard to know what to make of this. But this is the kind of win you like and that we haven't had enough of lately

Was at game looked good but I think we have some concerns at Safety. On the 2nd touchdown right in front of me Studstill got burned and ran the worst line for a tackle. We should have had 6 more temple easily could have had 14 more. D line and linebackers looked good. Hope secondary can keep it up . Highlight of the game was seeing Weishar touchdown and how much the team celebrated for him. Good for him. Also a marist grad so that helps ha!

Right no difference today but worried about it planting negative seeds in his head for future games...

Brian Kelly and Wimbush's post game press conferences were very impressive.

BK seems much more personable than prior years.

Wimbush is a fucking stud on the mic and gave a ton of props to the O line.

OL was not championship caliber
Could not get 1-2 yards when we needed to
Too many dropped balls
Special teams are still a work in progress
Miles Morgan did he make a tackle
Tillery still is hot and cold
Winbush will be ok. Kid has an arm
Mack needs to get his head in the game
We will win some games this year.

Only concern I have is the Run Defense. Otherwise, a fantastic day all around. This offense has a lot of potential. Very excited for the Georgia game.

But then I put on ABC and see the grown as* men of Bama and wonder how our D line would hold up.... hmmmmm

I know it was just Temple, but they on the ground they were 37-85 with a long of 17. Run D did its job. We'll have to see against GA, USC, etc, but no concerns today.

Everyone has hit on the main points, but I thought it was refreshing in a stretch of the second and third quarters when Temple appeared to have the momentum and had real chances to go from trailing 28-3 to 28-17 — and the defense delivered stops and allowed the offense to settle back in and win going away.

3. Yoon missed a few fg's but I'm not worried about him at all.

I am. He was only ~75% last year, is coming off an injury, missed both today neither looked like they had much umph behind them. I don't have a ton of confidence in him.

422 yards rushing, on 44 carries. 5 tds. nuff said

Penetrating analysis.

#FreeKmoose

negged.

Daelin Hayes is a boss.

I've seen enough of Cam Smith and Canteen already. More Claypool, Boykins, Sanders and Finke please.

Tony Jones is a good player. But Dex brings a different dimension and complements Adams nicely.

This is spot on.

Other thoughts:

-Pressure on the QB was so refreshing to see
- I still don't have much confidence in Coleman
- This offense is going to be goooooooooood

One thing no one has mentioned is how clean we played. Only what 3 or 4 penalties? Did we even have one in the first half? No dumb timeouts before the first play of a drive. No delay of games.

Seemed the most locked in I remember a Kelly team being this early in the season.

No but Wimbush was positively lost on that one play near the goal line. He just happens to be talented enough to turn it into something once he (or whoever) donked it up

Strong, strong running game. Excellent use of TEs. Pretty sound defense. Has the makings of a good season, fingers are crossed.

-8 catches by tight ends today. I bet it took 5-6 games last season for the tight ends to get that many catches.

Just 7 catches today from what the Box Score is showing, but you're right. I had to look it up, but we only had 12 TE catches all of last season. Giving Booker the boot and bringing in Long looks like it will really let our TEs shine again.

Couple more...

--Tranquill was great all game after the first play. Finally playing the correct position.
--More Dex like everyone has said. Much more intrigued by a 2 RB formation with him and Adams than with Jones and Adams. I don't really care how good his hands are supposed to be, I'd rather them just use Jones to pound the ball
--No clue what the Stephenson situation is, but the holes our OL could open up with ESB and Stephenson on the field together would be crazy. I don't see us beating an elite D without him or some WR really stepping up. Maybe we were being bland today, but didn't see much separation made by any WRs other than ESB.
--Line was pretty good with some pass pro exceptions. I'm hoping the strategy to run the ball behind the right side in short yardage and goal line was for confidence building.
--D overall was so much better. None of that crap last year where they'd get gashed once then come back out and have it happen again.
--DL was very solid which is miles ahead of last year. Wish we had a Hayes clone to play opposite him because I think the pass rush will be average at best although I think well stop the run well all year.
--Morgan was average but we all know he is good. More Coney please. Really don't think Martini is more than a situational guy.
--CBs were very good. Safety play not great. Studstill angle on that TD was just brutal. Luckily USC should be the only great passing offense we play all year .
--Nice to see the Special Teams can be a plus (outside Yoon). Coverage was great.
--It's early but game one has weirdly been a good indicator how the season will go with Kelly. We were somewhat sloppy and still won by 33. Hard to be too upset and also hard not to be much more optimist looking at the schedule. This team doesn't really have many excuses as of now to finish with less than 9 wins.
