Can somebody explain the personal foul on 91? You can't go high on a qb and you can't go low? I just don't understand that flag.
You can't lunge at a QB below the knee when he's in a passing posture. Tom Brady 2009.

But even with that rule, it was incorrectly applied. Our guy was blocked into the QB so they should have picked up the flag, same as they would when someone gets blocked into a punter.

Really good game all around. This is a win to build on for the rest of the season.

MSU isn't great so this is probably a huge overreaction but I legitimately think we are going 11-1. USC has looked average and we get them at home coming off our bye while they've looked average and will have played 7 straight weeks. I'm not personally worried about Miami or Stanford. We have no excuse losing to anyone else. BK and the team just look dialed in.

I said before the game this was the perfect test at the perfect time for this team, and it coudlnt have played out much better.

- Crawford is the real gangster.
- Alize Mack had a confidence building night. Except for that early screen where he went totally the wrong way, he played well.
- love is also a gangster. I want to see more aggression out of Watkins. He's not playing bad, but he just doesn't look to play with the urgency Love and Crawford, or even Elliot do. Troy Pride looks fired up when he gets in there. Let's give him some reps.
- Not a huge game for BW, but a huge confidence builder and he showed progress in the passing game. On the road, at night, I like how he played. That late hit was totally on him though, and he needs to limit every hit he takes because he's naturally taking so many. Those extra ones that are for no reason scare me.
- Dexter simply produces everytime he gets a chance. I hope this was a foreshadow of what's to come - more split carries.
- Daelin Hayes was quiet. I thought he'd had some big moments, but their qb did get the ball out early.
- my new man crush is Ade. We don't know anything about him, but he gets pressure every time I see him take a snap.
- OL does need to give BW more time in the pocket. Remember in 2015 when It wasn't uncommon for Loser to have 6 seconds back there. BW is almost always having to start improvising at 4 seconds.

This result combined with Georgia throttling a damn good Miss State team leaves me thinking if the bounces go are way (how they have been) we have a chance at running the table

Agree with most your points, but I also think Hayes was quiet bc he was hurt and didn't play nearly as much as we are used to seeing. He got hurt on the fumble recovery

For those wondering if Daelin is ok, he was back in the game later for at least a few plays that I noticed. Sure there were more. Seems to be fine.

Basically just tried really hard to score some cheap shit to make it look closer than it was. Almost got his qb injured in the process. Had his team spike the ball with seven seconds left down by twenty to try a hook and ladder for the endzone.

It was essentially a mental temper tantrum that made the game twenty minutes longer than it needed to be.

Talking about game length.. I was there and felt like the commercial breaks were far more common and longer with the airing on FOX. My skunkbear friends were complaining about the coverage as well for the earlier game.. here's to hoping we don't have to deal with FOX much going forward.. thought it was awful.

If there was one negative, it seemed a decent amount of players got banged up, hopefully it's just the regular pains that come with college football. I'd also like our dbs to turn their heads more in the air. We probably could have at least had two more INT's.

I loved the play calling on the first drive. It allowed Wimbush to get comfortable and put the MSU d on their heels.
Can't say enough about the development of our defense especially the line and the secondary. We thought those were the two areas of weakness for our team but the coaches have developed them quite well.

May sound corny, but that unleash of emotion could be his moment that brings him back. Love it!!! Go IRISH!!!

Loved every bit of that game. There have been some very effective changes to the program and I give a ton of credit to BK for looking himself in the mirror and seeing it.

Red zone efficiency- no more settling for fieldgoals or failures to get TDs inside the 20. It sems Long's offense does just fine getting six instead of three or zero.

Turnovers and points off turnover. TO's are killers for any team and having those turnovers generate points is a doubletap.

Special Teams have been shored up on coverage though I think we need more production on returns. Finke doesnt have any time or space to run after and he is going to cough it up if he catches that ball in any more traffic.

As far as this game goes a better team turns that 500 yards of offense and creates points. Miami and USC wil be problems. That is concerning but this tream has shades of a Diaco defense minus the star power.

Seeing Kelly celebrate like is awesome. He wanted that megaphone bad. We now have two trophies in SB right? Who is next? The Shilagleah?

The crazy thing about our offense is we haven't and probally won't see cj Holmes McKinley or jafar Armstrong and I think all 3 will be playmakers for us down the road

Did you mean to refer to Kizer as "Loser?"

One think I wish we would do differently is go after blocked punts a lot more like USC two years ago when st brown blocked the punt now it's like we don't send anyone

I know he got some mentions in the game day thread but Julian Okwara looks like he is going to be a hell of a player too.

Also did we burn the Jordan Genmarks RS last night or has he been playing, i dont recall?

Welp, they did the damn thing.

1. UGA is probably the best looking of all losses out there for any team (1 point, top 10 team)

2. Team shut up a lot of whiners last night, including myself

3. 5-1 heading into USC would be like hitting the reset button for the season in a very good way

I'm confused by the love for the offense? 350ish yards is not much to brag about? I think we got real conservative second half with our lead which is just fine. But it felt like we were fighting bad down/distance all night.

Tons of those MSU yards were against soft prevent defense that are clock, which was the real goal anyway. Dictating what your opponent does is like a good thing.

Can't remember the last time we forced three TOs like that - I mean forced, not gifted. Good to see D stripping and fighting for every ball - no passive play.

I wasn't worried about this game going in. Notre Dame has only improved and MSU has only regressed since they met last season. But, damn, I was impressed with how the Irish owned this one. They played like the superior team in every facet for all 4 quarters.

Thought this was the best game by ND in at least2 years.
D really played well and are so improved from last year.
No turnovers, and 3 takeaways, that is usually a good recipe to win games.
Nice balance on offense.
Any report of injuries? Is Adams OK, he seemed o disappear late, or were they just inserting fresh motors?
Thought MSU played borderline dirty, probably not by design.
Not sure what to think of Dantonio; used to like him, not so much as time goes on.
Irish should roll up to the USC game, will make trip for that one.
Referees/replay ref were typical ACC crap.

This is a tough team, and a work in progress. But I'm incredibly happy with their performance so far this year. We need to understand there will be hiccups and bad decisions, but this team battles. I like what's building here.
BW looked a lot more poised in pocket.
We've got a stable of backs. Impressive.
I think EQ is coming. And I'd love to see more of Boykin. Good game by Claypool as well. Saw him make a nice block on one of the TD runs.
This defense is going to be real tough. Elko is a smart dude and we attack the ball in waves. Props to coach Lyght, his guys have played well.
BS call on Ade, BS no call on Wimbush.

This team is developing nicely. I'm not sure what the future holds, but no one remaining on this schedule cannot be beaten by this team if they play well.

Looking at Georgias schedule they could easily go undefeated and be in the sec title game they may lose 1 game Florida or auburn but don't see anyone else beating them
