Good game by Wimbush, a nice step forward.

Passing games still needs a bit more. We can only hope Stepherson gets in next week, would add a much needed dimension to the passing game.

Terrific game on just about every level and huge momentum builder for the season.

Offense looked strong, showed balance, and Wimbush got going as we hoped. I really liked the playcalling tonight giving him lots of easier throws to get going. Red zone play has been tremendous and the holes on the TD runs were massive. Claypool, Dexter, and lots of players getting meaningful time and touches. Going to be tough to game plan against us for the remainder of the season now they have demonstrated some proficiency throwing the ball.

Defense is sound, well coached and creates turnovers. Big time credit to Elko.
Crawford is ridiculous in how many plays he makes..Tranquill looked strong again but defense was solid on all levels.

Great road win...can't remember a game where I have seen such disciplined play in every phase of the game.

Was really good to see Claypool, Dexter Williams and Alize Mack make a dent on offense. Dex' touchdown reception was a great play on both ends. And Wimbush is starting to look like a quarterback.

Also our defense is so so much better than it was. Fundamentally sound, and constantly harassing the QB. They stick their tackles and it's amazing how far just that can take you in college football. And I take back every mean thing I ever thought about Nick Coleman. That play essentially ended the game.

We only needed to throw 20 times in East Lansing to win this one. Decent running game, opportunistic defense was awesome in this one. Wimbush managed the game in a great way. Sparty threw the ball 53 times! At home. That's a lot of passes.

Dantonio is a little bitch, and he's been been owned by Kelly. Dantonio should have only 1 win over Kelly, last year's 4-8 team, because the Little Giants play was a comedy of errors by the officiating crew. Anyone that would trade Kelly for Dantonio is silly.

We completely demoralized Sparty in this one.

Idk about the refs. I mean, what did they get wrong? They looked at a few extra plays, took a little longer to make rulings, but they didn't really miss anything. They got all the reviews right. Dex's TD. That one Love INT wasn't an INT. They got the strip at the goal line right. They got a lot of penalties right. Nothing really sticks out that they missed. I mean they took more time than you'd want, obviously, but they didn't make any egregious errors that I can remember.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but I agreed with Klatt and thought that State player should have been ejected in first half for putting his helmet in Brandon's back. Can't believe some of the bogus targeting calls and ejections you see and that doesn't even get looked at?
Other than that thought refs definitely called game in ND favor tonight...that being said Stateo earned most of their bonehead penalties.

Nice to see Claypool emerging- what a catch on sideline!! Smythe with a beauty down the middle as well.

How bout all the carries for McIntosh?

Tony Jones should be injured more often.

A couple early mistakes by Lewerke and that honeybadger 2.0 play by <strike>Coleman</strike> Crawford were all the difference ND needed. Besides that, if you read the box score and skip the TO's, you'd think MSU won by 10.

One thing else... The booth should be able to overturn a "Hitting the QB low" penalty when it clearly was the MSU LT that threw Ade into Lewerke. Ogundeji had a great bull rush on that play. Had the exact same move on the next pass and actually broke free clean but Lewerke had moved to his right in the pocket and got rid of the ball just before Ade could sack him. Ade, Kareem and Julian all looked good at different times. I'm more and more optimistic about the position every week.

You are kidding me right?

There was a clear targeting on Wimbush in the first quarter that did not even get reviewed!

The MSU player launched himself, led with the crown of his helmet, his helmet hit Wimbush in the back of the head (back of his helmet) and Wimbush was woozy getting up.

I don't know how that is not an egregious miss by the refs?

The MSU player should have gotten ejected and the there was not even a review of the play!

I don't know why and how. But ND always gets screwed on targeting calls. Either goes against them when it shouldn't, Tuitt 2013, or ND player clearly gets hit by a targeting and there is no call, Tori Hunter 2016 and Wimbush tonight!
