Post Game Observations........

1. We eked out a win against an inferior team, but dominated in stretches. This team is pretty frustrating for fans. Look great one minute, look clueless the next.

2. Only 2 penalties all game. That's a great positive.

3. Reesus goes for 300+ again. No INTs. Keep chugging, Tommy, but please stop throwing those 2 or 3 passes a game that make my heart stop!

4. ND has to get better, to get the respect that it wants.

5. A win is a win.

6. Sorry for not posting like a champion tonight, but I am emotionally wrung out after that game, and I didn't even play in it!

7. In the first quarter, Purdue was hitting a screen on almost EVERY blitz. And they weren't checking into these screens at the line. That means that they KNEW, based on down and distance, what we would be doing defensively. Have to fix that, and quickly!

It happens. Army was within 7 of Stanford for most of the night. And Akron actually beats UMich if they don't choke. That's why you play the games.

Man this team is terrible. No run blocking, Rees has very few good throws a game, Carlisle was bad, Atkinson was worse. Niklas couldn't catch syphilis in a Tijuana whorehouse, the defensive line got no pressure, the linebackers still play like they are underwater, and the secondary was terrible.

Daniels, TJ, and Cam are the only bright spots.

Yes we did win but that's it.

-Our D players arent playing well or IMO being coached well

-Our offense is very plain no need to not throw a pass for 20 plus till the 3 qrt

-i am having serious doubt in our caching staff.

-Last years team was better and had a lot of luck

IMO the team is not playing hungry right now until late in the game. Think that NC trip last year made some players complacent. They need to understand that every team plays all out against ND like it's their national championship game. The talent is there but emotion is lacking.

A lot? Not really. But we did have an elite MLB last year that would have won the Heisman if not for Johnny Football. We miss Manti a ton.

None of our coaches are up for the job. Kelly promotes Martin to a job he's 100% unqualified for and has no idea what he's doing in general, Martin can't call plays, and Diaco has this team unprepared. It makes me wonder what a coach like Charlie Strong could do with this team.

The DB's look like keystone cops at times. Way to much confusion, poor tackling and taking bad angles on the defensive side of the ball. If we're gonna blitz this much the DB's and safties need to play waaaaaay better.

No intensity in first half, secondary is dismal. Carlisle, not so sure now. DD is a flat out beast as is TJ. I think Atkinson is not that bad. Maybe a heavy dose of Bryant next week to see what he looks like. Can Folston still redshirt if he has played just a little in the first 3 games?? Or is it all or nothing?

Very disappointed that we didn't beat the **** out of them, but we didn't last year either.

1. This wasn't as bad of a performance as most fans think. We should expect our opponents to give their best effort when playing against us and Purdue did that tonight.

2. Our offense needs to start the game better. This is the 2nd week in a row we couldn't get anything going on our first few drives. Play calling is too predictable.

3. Defensively, we must improve our tackling.

4. IrishPat and Title2114 should be banned from posting during games.

I am exhausted and too drunk to have much rational thought. This game took years off my life and I am really afraid this team is going to put me in A) rehab B) anger management courses C) the nut house or D) an early grave. If it weren't for a couple huge plays in the three minute span, we lose.

So yes, a win is a win, but this game is a fail in my opinion. This offensive line should not get manhandled like that by anyone let alone Purdue. Our linebackers are terrible. Our corners seem a step behind every play (except for BJ's pick 6).

Play calling is predictable and boring. Our players don't look fast or strong.

Ugh. My glass is empty. Time for a refill...or 6.
