You know what's funny.

A true freshman turned his head around and wasn't called for PI because he did that. A senior didn't turn his head around and got called for an extremely costly penalty.

I'll give BJax some slack because he has been a corner for only 3 years, but still.

If an ND loss affects your sleep that easily, then maybe you need to reevaluate your priorities in life. I, for one, will sleep just fine. I'm not happy about the loss, but it won't affect my sleep.

I was using hyperbole, and will continue to direct my angst toward the program flopping tonight, not anyone here.

The bottom line is I refuse to take this team / program seriously until I can watch a game against a team like effing Pitt without having a heart attack. Fans of teams like Bama, Oregon, OSU, or even LSU know they are going to win these games. Whereas, I have to mentally prepare myself for a week before the damn Purdue game. It's laughable when you think about it.

...yea but I think the world expects ND to be the first to do it because we are....indeed...the most irrational fanbase ...EVER!

My point is that with the schedules we play every year, ND needs to count on these games for consistent, easy wins. And we can't. Call it bad luck, or whatever else, but we ALWAYS play to our opponents. It's maddening.

Almost all those close games should have been blow outs and under Urban they would have. We blew it. That guy is elite and last year was a fluke. How many games could this team have lost last year and this year? Fine line between Kelly's so so success and being less successful than Charlie Friggn Weis.

just got home.. I was at the game.. guys, besides the under the lights game at Michigan, this was the worst feeling after a game that I've been to.. I mean these Pitt fans can't even pack a stadium, their tailgating is dog ****, and their fan base is worse than my high school basketball team.. just an overall demoralizing loss and just a terrible feeling living in Pittsburgh and losing to these chumps..

I know it's not an easy win and I think that's the problem. There's a talent gap between the two teams and most of those kids couldn't get recruited ND, yet we still can't outplay them for the life of us.

I know I'm beating a dead horse but we NEED to stop playing down to inferior opponents. That's the problem here. It affects our record and it keeps our top players on the field the entire game when they should be resting. We already have limited schollies, we gotta take care of business fast against bad teams.
