In Colorado, half the counties' sheriffs have declared sanctuary counties for any gun regulation passed by the state and signed by the Gov.

Three SW North Dakota counties' sheriffs refuse to enforce the Gov's mask mandate, affirming they will protect their citizens from any "unjust action".

Two eastern Oregon counties voted to leave the state of Oregon and become part of Idaho. Two other eastern Oregon counties passed a resolution to make it a crime for county workers, including police, to enforce gun laws despite their DA's bringing cases before a judge in a hearing and a subsequent extreme risk protection order brought by a family member.

So with the election results as they are now, seemingly going against the 'violent right wing Trump supporters' . Where are all the riots and looting? I was told, and saw on various news outlets for the past 6-7 months that the riots and looting were perpetrated by ppl on the right.

Am I to believe, after all the rioting and looting, Chaz/CHOP, Seattle, and Portland being burned and ransacked that the 'violent right wing supporters' have decided to stop now that they appear to have lost the election?

The dumb thing is, people will continue to vote for this sort of thing. Democrat or Republican doesn't really matter here though it's been nearly entirely one side of the aisle so far. This is insulting to constituents.

I doubt the authenticity of this, but it DOES remind me of an incident I had with some friends a few days after the 9/11 attacks.

A few of us were out in the driveway on our bikes just hanging out and getting ready to go ride somewhere. This little red hatchback Honda Civic pulls up with a 20-something guy driving and his hot blonde girlfriend in the passenger seat. I won't ever forget their look, as in retrospect, they could not have been more cliché. They looked like cast members from Cruel Intentions. The dude had spiked and gelled hair, super thin reading glasses, and was wearing a black turtle neck. The chick had a black sweater on, was holding a big coffee cup, and had the "let me speak to your manager" face despite being a smoke show.

They stop on the edge of the road blocking the driveway, and they roll the window down. No intro, no "hey, how are you guys," she just gets right into it: "If you were proud to be Americans, you guys wouldn't be on those bikes right now. There are kids in the middle east that are about to be in a war, and they don't get to ride bikes on the weekends."

They had the audacity to stop in front of a group of 10-12 year-olds, and to try and tell us about our privilege, WHILE DRIVING AN AUTOMOBILE, WEARING DESIGNER TURTLE NECKS AND HOLDING STARBUCKS COFFEE.

Just people that are detached from reality, and deciding it's time to make the world what they think it should be.

I wish I had thought quick enough to say, "If I have to get off of my bike to show how proud I am, why are you driving that car?"

Instead, my friend's mom came out and lit her up for stopping and harassing a group of young kids and told her that she'd pull the chick out of the car if she needed to. They drove off.

Yep, folks can be that way regardless of the times. After posting this, I recalled an associate of mine who is wealthy, lives in a prominent area here in a big house on a moderately traffic'd road. Went to a Christmas party at his house about 5 years ago. I was in awe of his lights. Tasteful, but overwhelming.

I asked him how much his electric bill was. He laughed it off shaking his head, but did go into a bit of a rant about the letters/complaints he gets every year. Said he got shamed yearly for several different things. He said he always gets letters from some "green" activist types shaming him for the power usage, as well as some anti-religious folks complaining about Christian elements. Even some crazies complaining that his lights are a danger that will cause car wrecks.

I wouldn't doubt if he got similar letters to the twitter post this year shaming him for various SJW issues. Nothing surprises me anymore. People simply want to find something to be outraged about these days. Hope it falls out of fashion soon.

I dont think the media fully understands how much of a beating their reputation has taken over the last decade or so.

There is a consistent theme of not challenging Democrat positions or politicians, attacking republican ones, etc.

Remember when it was taboo to look into Hunter Biden? Now we find out the Feds have been investigating him for years? Remember the fact checks saying that there would not be a vaccine this year?

I mean, we all know journalism as a field isn't going to attract smart people, but its wild to see how bad most of these people are at their job.

After 8 years of practically blowing Barack Obama, they decided to go after Trump and Pence for 4 years without shame. Remember when they claimed that Trump was going to end the internet as we know it and Pence was gonna electrocute all the gays?

Prepare for 2-3 years of softball questions for Joe and 4 years of fawning coverage of Kamala Harris. They will want to paint Joe's administration in a positive light if only so it can have a pleasant feeling when Kamala takes over or runs in 2024.

There will be all sorts of profiles of her that attempt to make her look like both a YAS QUEEN pop culture icon, a tough but fair prosecutor, and a savvy politician when it's safe to say none of those are remotely true.

American media is awful.
