Ahh there you go again, defining who's ignorant and who isn't. I don't watch a lot of TV but I know no Fox host has come close to anything the misfits at MSLSD have. They criticize and disagree but can do it in a civil manner, something you always cry for!
Can you imagine if a host at Fox made fun of a family like the Clintons or the Kerrys for having an adopted black grandchild?? And I'm 100% sure no one there has ever advocated for someone to crap down someone's throat and urinate in their eyes.
OK, I went back an watched the clip of Melissa Harris-Perry and didn't hear her say anyting about crapping down someone's throat or urinating in their eyes. I did hear her comment on how interesting a potential future wedding of North West and Mitt's adopted black grandchild would be. Another commentator suggested that the Romney group photo seemed characteristic of the racial diversity of the Republican Party. Insensitive? Yep. Uncalled for? Absolutely. Should she apologize? No question. Incidently, she did. When I searched for the clip I had to wade through a page or so of posts talking about her apology both on air and to the Romney family. Should she be diciplined by her network? That is the crux of the matter, isn't it? I believe she should, and suspect she will. You said there is a double standard for liberals and conservatives, and that she will get a pass because she is the former. I call BS. Why? Because even your examples you listed several MSNBC personalities that have been fired or suspended because of stupid things they said on the air. All of the people in the clips I provided are still spouting ignorant crap every day on Fox News with no consequences.
The first dude, I don't know his name, is talking about how some study on racial equality didn't apply to the United States because here we have Italians marrying Irish so we are somehow as a society beyond racism. The second, Liz Hasselbeck talks about how Oprah "undermines racism," which is just so stupid and purposely provacative that it doesn't even merit comment. Megyn Kelly pleads to children not to listen to the disgusting rantings of a black reporter who suggests that it is OK for families of other races to tell them a fictional character is of their own race. Her subsequent apology was no apology at all, but a "I was just joking" comment. Ignorant AND gutless. Finally, the idiot expert Fox News dug up who suggested that Trayvon Martin died because he was somehow asking for it because of his "attitude," which was apparently on prominent display as he was walking through a neighborhood drinking a can of iced tea in the rain. Complete idocy all around, and all of these people are still regularly on Fox News (some have their own shows). And you are right, I Googled Fox News Racist Comments, but there were far more than the few examples I listed. There were pages upon pages upon pages of them, more often than not made by the same handful of dunces who continue to pollute the airwaves with their idiotic racist nonsese without any consequences whatsoever. Don't even get me started on the link that talked about the posts responding to news reports on Fox News, and some of their hate filled viewers who just had to hang their stupidity out for the whole world to see. One of my favorites was the one that after Travon Martin verdict was read, a respondant suggested that the "(N word)s are trying to take control of this country. Buy up all the guns you can white America." There is a double standard ... only that standard is that Fox News can say any kind of racist, hateful, riduclous nonsense that they want to and when they do that on MSNBC, there are consequences.
