Our imperial pres has altered or changed the law 14 times since it was passed. Howard Dean is one of the few on the left who has questioned the legality of it

...I understand that DC is incapable of doing the leg work up front such that they can write and implement a plan of any kind w/o leaving themselves some room to maneuver. However, this goes beyond issues like selecting 1 of 5 or 6 options detailed in the law, or appointing other personnel. The president of the united states is actually making changes to the content of "the law of the land", and doing it w/o a care in the world.

ok...this one has to be one of my favorites...

"The Health and Human Services Department told House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa that it won’t turn over documents related to the security of the Healthcare.gov website because it can’t trust him to keep secret information that could give hackers a roadmap to wreak havoc on the system. "

My side hurts from laughing...
Sooo apparently a subpoena can be ignored because I don't like you. BWAHAHAHA!

Also...if there aren't security issues, why so secretive with information....and I found it odd that the government excused itself from mandatory reporting on security breaches...

Rollout sucked, and was fraught with unforgivable incompetence and oversight failure...but this security crap could really hurt people when taken in light of the fact that YOU MUST participate.

The administration's stance on rollout gets less tenable by the day...and is approaching criminal if they know security sucks and force people in anyway...

So basically they are saying while we can trust you (congressional Committees) with Top top top tippy top secreat National Security information in relation to international matters...we can't tell you about our McAfee/Norton failures on a domestic health insurance website.

MSLSD is the most hateful and racist network on TV. Olbermann, Schultz, Baldwin, Bashir, MHP, on and on...

How many of these folks still work at that network. Like UPSH said, take a look at Fox News.

No one at Fox has said anythimg as vile as these crack pots, and def nothing to be suspended. Melissa Harris Perry isn't racist for what she said yesterday, right? Funny how you get to play by diff rules if you have a "D" behind your name.

Not a big fan of his show, but I know he's never been suspended or had to issue an apology for anything he's said. Melissa Harris Perry just had to do so for mocking the Romneys black grandchild

That is the difference between Fox News and other networks. Their employees never apologize when they say ignorant shit and their network doesn't make them. :)

Ahh there you go again, defining who's ignorant and who isn't. I don't watch a lot of TV but I know no Fox host has come close to anything the misfits at MSLSD have. They criticize and disagree but can do it in a civil manner, something you always cry for!

Can you imagine if a host at Fox made fun of a family like the Clintons or the Kerrys for having an adopted black grandchild?? And I'm 100% sure no one there has ever advocated for someone to crap down someone's throat and urinate in their eyes.

You are the one defining who is ignorant and who isn't. I'm simply pointing out that your comments about one network being the most vile of them all aren't exactly accurate. I didn't hear the comments you are talking about being made, but if that was said, whoever said that should be fired immediately. I'm not defending any network, simply pointing out that ignorant things are said on Fox News almost daily by the same idiots over and over again. MSNBC seems to act when one of their people go off the reservation. In case you missed them, here are some polite disagreeable yet civil things that have been said on Fox News.

FOX News Racist remarks are outrageous - YouTube

Hasselbeck: Oprah shouldn’t call out racists because it ‘undermines racism’ | The Raw Story

Santa Claus White? Fox News’ Megyn Kelly thinks so. But Santa’s not real.

Fox News Expert Explains Trayvon Martin Died Of ‘Street Attitude’ Plus Some Bullet Wounds

You went on google and typed in "fox news racist" and all 4 examples are a farrrr stretch for anything racist, and nothing even comparable to the examples I noted. If you haven't heard of the Melissa Harris Perry debacle from yesterday you're willfully ignorant of left wing racism.

Like I said, one gets to play by an ENTIRELY different set of rules if you have a "D" behind your name.

But they allow Karl Rove on their network. He ran a push poll in South Carolina insinuating that John McCain had an illegitimate black child.

Where the hell did that come from? Not defending Rove but he is a pollster not a Fox host. The MSNBC host, Perry, led a panel of other leftists laughing at the Romneys black grandchild. Not even close to comparable.

You two are both reaching to the bottom of the barrel to try and draw parallels but coming up empty.

I catch Fox a little more frequently than MSNBC...although I try and force myself to watch reasonably equal amounts of both...and even then keep it to a low roar.

Fox and CNN seem to parallel one another on tone and presentation...and MSNBC seems to me to be out in left field...literally.

Both Fox and MSNBC engage in partisan-viewed political talk, yet I think the level of vitriol and personal attacks are more frequent and egregious at MSNBC. I think the source editing ie video is so overtly doctored to support a point of view at MSNBC, it is insulting...but then no one here would be shocked that I feel that way toward MSNBC. I got my own biases now don't I...:).

Cute. Difference between you and me is I could write the same thing (MSNBC version) off the top of my head in 15 minutes. I promise you won't find anything in that list that comes anywhere near what Martin Bashir said last month or what Melissa Harris Perry did yesterday. Not. Even. Close.

Which is a pox on both houses. Shameful state of journalism (cringed just using the word in this context).

Journalism hardly exists anymore and I don't really associate it with either network. However, O'Reilly as a historian, author and commentator is the closest you'd find to a journalist.

I think what they did was terrible. No denying it. Bashir should have just called Palin an airhead and left it at that.

Aaaaand this is why I typically avoid this thread.

If I were a mod, I'd throw this tea bag in the harbor.

Going to calmer waters..
