So you are saying wiz self-identifies as someone who wants to equate it to mutilation that's his non-gender, non-age, non-ethnicity right to do so?
I didn't say anything. Quit trying to put words in my mouth.

Some jerk with a 'Cruz 2016' sticker just cut me off this Friday. He also had a "one man one woman" sticker and something about contrails painted on his tailgate.
He screamed the N-word at me as he sped by.
(I can tell stories on the internet too)
Here's the problem Jughed. You may disagree with BlackIrish, but it doesn't mean "he's telling stories on the internet."
There are times where you are so entrenched in your positions that you aren't even willing to believe that other posters can be honest. You just immediately believe that they are lying, or unwilling to see your side of things. You don't even give them a chance by debating honestly on your own side. And this often leads to you belittling or insulting other posters. It's got to stop, brother.
That's bullshit. Cack and I were the first people to point this out, and neither of us have thrown a single insult. We both were quite respectful.
Jughed chose a different tone, and that's his perogative, but don't lump the rest of us in as aggressors.

You haven't thrown any insults and were being respectful? Let's look at your initial post.
"I give this thread 3 pages before it turns into a horrific bloodbath where it ends up being a safe-zone for any racist, bigoted, sexist, etc comment one desires.
A horrid idea for a thread."
Why would this thread turn into a "horrific bloodbath" of bigotry? Are the people who are active in it (myself included) horrible bigots who are just chomping at the bit to spew evil words? Or are these barbarians at the gates, and the regular posters won't be able to shame them out of the discussion if things do turn vicious?. You're not giving much credit to your fellow IE posters.
Also, how is calling this "a horrible idea for a thread" anything but a direct insult to the person who created it? But keep believing that you were being respectful and non-aggressive instead of one of the people who started throwing stones in what had been, to that point, an amicable discussion free of attacks on the character of other IE members.
I think you're right in principle, but wrong in reality.
When I asked him if he'd actually seen the thing he talked about, I was actually wondering if
he could back up his claims with data or fact. He said that people are being censored or harassed for
calling people 'black.'
Can the brother give us any data that proves this true? Or is it all just anecdotal bullshit?
Fact: I have had the thing I talked about it happen to me. Just because it's an anecdote doesn't make it bullshit. If you are going to assume that everyone you disagree with is lying, then I don't know what to tell you.
Individual experience is proof of nothing.
Repeat. Nothing.
I can tell you stories that would curl your hair. It wouldn't prove a pattern in any group's behavior.
How is that an insult? I stated an opinion of the thread. Saying I don't like the thread does not equal insulting the person that created it. You are making that connection, not me. Also, look around... it's already started. You have people (on both sides, mind) attacking each other. The thread itself is a polarizing topic that will clearly lead to attacks.
You want to talk about people being overzealous with their sensitivity, but here you are accusing me of insults that I didn't directly say. Isn't that the same kind of behavior this thread was meant to bash in the first place?
You are free to state your opinion, sure. But your opinion is debatable and that's what I'm doing. What I'm doing is making logical inference based on what you wrote. Someone created a thread that you have deemed "horrible." Again, you're free to say that, but don't feed me that line that it wasn't insulting or aggressive. You called a discussion thread that someone created "a horrible idea." That's an insult, which you are free to make. Me pointing the fact out doesn't put me in the over-sensitive, PC camp unless I demanded that you stop doing so because it makes me feel unsafe and traumatized.

I agree with this. Things I have never had happen to anyone I know.
1) An African American getting mad for being referred to as "black"
2) A women getting mad at me for opening a door.
I find it hard to believe that this is as common as many of the posters in here believe that it is...
I could tell any story I want in this thread and there is zero ways for anyone to prove that it didn't happen.
WHAT?!
Someone calling you racist names is proof that racism exists. Someone telling me that I should say "African-American" instead of "Black" is proof that PC BS is alive and well. How else do you prove the existence of these things with anything besides the personal experiences and observations of the people living in this society?
You don't have many brothers for friends do you? I've had friends argue both ways and most of them live just 30 miles from you.
So there is literally no way anyone could possibly show dislike for your thread or they are attacking you.
So this is your "safe-zone"?
The irony...

You're melting.

I'm seriously a little disturbed.
I'm pretty sure you mean these things.
Please stay where you are.

Dude. You seriously have to stop saying this like you managed to win an argument. You're trying to suggest a poster is making zero logical sense yet refusing to make any points to prove so. If you do not want to actually debate with him, just stop responding, otherwise you are starting to sound like a troll.
I mean, he literally said you are free to say whatever you would like (despite him disagreeing with you) which is the exact opposite of a "safe-space".
I seriously hate how I would stay out of this thread, but damn it I just have to argue some things. I might as well go Conor McGregor style balls to the wall now.
If I'm expected to seriously debate someone who talks about the amount of 'brothers' they have as friends, how I'm guilty of hating 'white culture.', and how minorities should just 'assimilate,' we're at an impasse.
I'm just here to point and laugh.

Dude. I just searched the entire thread for each of the quoted words/phrases you used (brothers, assimilate, and white culture), and BlackIrish has not used a single one of them.
I said "white culture" in the Presidential Horse Race thread.Dude. I just searched the entire thread for each of the quoted words/phrases you used (brothers, assimilate, and white culture), and BlackIrish has not used a single one of them. On the other hand, your posts are found among each one of those searches. You are not actually listening to his view points, plugging your ears, and going "la la la you are stupid and racist".
Again, if you are not going to actually contribute to the thread, then just stop posting.

I said "white culture" in the Presidential Horse Race thread.
Note for context: I said white culture is a bad thing.
I also said "assimilate."
Note for context: I said people should assimilate to break down racial barriers. I did not say black people or minorities needed to assimilate. I said we all need to assimilate.
