I actually think he would do well...still don’t like the over the top rah rah feeling. Sad thing is him running onto the field probably cost them the game. Had he stayed on the sidelines it would have been first and goal at the 5 down 7.

That’s incorrect. They explained it on the broadcast. Iowa was getting the ball either way. Just ended up with better field position.

Dude needs some new oars for the running game though.

I didn’t hear it that way. They explained why the ball went out to the 22 instead of being offsetting penalties. Wouldn’t it be Minnesota ball bc the only penalty was on Iowa? You see it all the time. Late hit on a WR after the ball has been dropped is still a 15-yard personal foul.

Way I heard it was that it was 4th and goal. Half the distance to the goal doesn’t get you a first down. Penalty assessed on Fleck was after the turnover of possession on downs.

Is that good or bad for NDs NY6 prospects?

It's a crockpot that ESPN has too much time simmering on... the hot button. It's as if we all just learned how to add and subtract again. Simmer down
Times are different but dear lord fellas.
Do we all need this much of a learning curve/.....

That makes sense. I thought it would give them the first down.

They were both after the play. So its Iowa ball regardless.

Incorrect. If the only penalty was on Iowa and the result would have given them a first down it would still be Minnesota ball...even though the penalty was after the whistle on 4th down.

Dropping fast

In college football you can never take you foot off the pedal. You need to try to win 70-0 every game. You can't leave door open. I hope Rhule learned a lesson and brings a different toughness to the field. I did not watch one minute of this game.

baylor didn't show up 2nd half along with okla turning the screws. their offense was efficient and it was like a hot knife thru butter.

Back to PJ he sounded dumb in his press conference about running on the field.

This is not word for word but here is what he said: I ran to the field after watching my player lay on the field motionless. I didn't know there was a gate on the sideline that went up and down. I would do it all over again.

Funny that when they show the replay the Wr wasn't motionless and neither member of the trainers staff was on or running on the field.

Also Oklahoma made several costly mistakes in the first half. You can't count on those the whole game.
But, yeah, Baylor's offense couldn't do shit in the second half, and against Oklahoma you need more than 31 to win.

Kinnick Stadium is no joke though. They are 4-1 against Top 5 in their stadium since 2008.

Iowa overall is not a bad football team, coached very well, and they compete in the Big 10. I can't stand Fleck.

They don't.

Michigan went to down there too the year before and they were #3 - #5 I think.

No you are incorrect. The rules analyst literally explained it on the broadcast, it would have been Iowa ball regardless. Yards are enforced after the RESULT of the play. The result being a Minn. Turnover.

This isn’t OSU or Penn State losing at Iowa. These two teams’ talent levels are probably pretty equal. Not even much of an upset to be honest.

His shtick would not work at Notre Dame- him and the team would be worn out by game 3- he doesn't know what its like to play a super bowl every week-there on only so many cliché"s you can use. He is not a fit at ND. By the way Notre Dame may have a top 3/5 coach in America now- trading Kelly for this guy would be a joke.

Not sure why you’re quoting me. I am 100% against firing BK for anyone and have posted so multiple times.

People are unable to comprehend that point so I've stopped trying to make it. Also people not from Minnesota don't understand that Iowa is the U of M's personal house of horrors. They just can't seem to win there.
